Hotel Mountain Paradise

I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Mountain Paradise Hotel. What was supposed to be a relaxing stay turned into a series of health hazards and broken promises. When I first arrived and checked into my room, I was disgusted to find **feces and bugs in the bed**. It is completely unacceptable for a hotel to have such a massive failure in basic hygiene and housekeeping. After complaining, management promised me a "better" room to make up for the situation. However, the second room was just as bad—it had a **leaking sink** that eventually led to the entire area **flooding**. I spent my time dealing with water damage instead of enjoying my trip. To top it all off, I was promised an excursion through the hotel, only to be told later that they couldn't provide it because they had **overbooked** the activity. This hotel is poorly managed, unsanitary, and does not follow through on its commitments to guests. Save your money and your sanity—book somewhere else.

The STAFF and food was excellent,a hidden gem!!! We recommend two thumbs up!

The compound itself is nice. Great view on the volcano and enjoyable pools. If they invest a bit it has a great potential.

The pictures on booking.com are clearly outdated and don't match the property anymore. Many things are run down or broken. No decoration at all in the rooms. One of our showers didn't allow to change the temperature (first it was only hot, then they tried to fix it and it was only cold), the other one was very complicated to put on and off. Wifi was very weak. Food and drinks wete overpriced (e.g. $8 for water, $15 for a cocktail). We also booked a tour via the hotel and found out in the last moment that what they booked for us didn't match the information they sent us (cacao workshop in a partner hotel instead of external tour with a producer). Only after long discussions they decided to refund us. However, we still found out when checking out that they didn't actually issue the refund and had to deduct the amount from the final bill.

No fridge. Nothing except coffee machine . I guess expectations you go and eat at their restaurant but it would be nice to have a fridge and keep bottle of water chilled.

Magnifique endroit! C’est paradisiaque! La chambre était grande et propre et les garçons ont adoré la douce de roches. La piscine était chaude (comme un bain) et il était agréable de passer du temps autour du bar avec de délicieux cocktails. Le restaurant était également délicieux (déjeuner et souper)

We loved our stay! The staff was amazing and our kids were welcomed. The location was serene and quiet and so dreamy!! It takes a bit to get there from Liberia on winding narrow roads, but is so worth it once you arrive.
