Absolute disregard for human life. I arrived with my family in the middle of a blizzard and since we were too early to check in, we were turned away! Not allowed to stay here, unload bags, park here, nothing. We asked "what would you have us do with a toddler in the middle of a blizzard with nowhere to go?" to which the lovely concierge replied, "just drive away." hahaha what!? just drive away! amazing. we did drive away into the blizzard, got our car stuck and had to wait for help. Incredible disregard for human beings and general welfare. We didn't need any special treatment. We just needed to be safe during intense winter weather and the Westin could not meet the call. They were endlessly rude and dismissive (they, as in, several staff members). Do not recommend staying here in the winter months when Mammoth can actually be quite dangerous. The Westin is not a safe place.

I wanted to reach out to thank two hotel staff who went out of their way to really make our trip memorable. First Thu Nguyen I took the initiative and reached out to us to offer a discount on a 2 bedroom suite for my family. This was a game changer for our trip. It made us so much more comfortable and we are so grateful. Also Garret in the main lobby restaurant was so accommodating and kind to our family. To be honest we did not enjoy the food in the restaurant very much, but the service was so incredible - it made up for the mediocre food in so many ways. Because of his service and patience we happily ate there several times finding menu items that might fit us a little better each time. He was so friendly to our teen boys and that also meant so much

Starts right at the front desk with Caroline. She is so welcoming and gave some good tips for the area. Clay was great and helped with the luggage. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. A flight of steps from the village and the gondola. Covered parking on this snowy holiday was key.

We've been loyal customers of this Westin for quite a few years when go skiing to Mammoth mountain. In the last visit we noticed they now allow pets in the rooms. During ski hours, some pets are left in the rooms and it can get noisy if you have to work or just want to take a rest day.

Thu was amazing from the get go got our room ready before time and all the restaurant crew where extremely nice and helpful shoutout to Thalia and Frank. Gondola proximity is key !! But it was a very nice experience.
