Nice location in between Okemo and Killington. The vibe is laid back and the bar is welcoming.

"Return to Salt Ash Inn"

8.0

My family really enjoyed Salt Ash Inn the first time we visited in February last year. We decided to return another year to this country rustic inn not far from Ludlow. We really like it there. The staff is kind, and as accommodating as they can be. The food is homemade and good. The Bar is rustic but upbeat, and they have a full size pool table which we all love. This is no palace, but a great family place with steep narrow stairs, and miss matched furniture. But, it is quaint, and comfortable, and perfect for the price. We will return again. Thanks Salt Ash Inn! We love your bean soup!

"Mid-week getaway"

10.0

Just a couple of days for a mid-week getaway. We enjoy central Vermont and our stay at Salt Ash Inn in October was memorable. It's too bad the pub is only open Thurs. through Sat.

"Good"

6.0

The hotel staff was pleasant and friendly. We bookd late so did not expect the hotel to be luxury. However, when they advertise two bedrooms - we did not expect two rooms (if you want to call it that) with a doorway (no door). We hoped for seperation between parents and our older daughter - there was none, TV was 10-12 inch. Stairwell were narrow - no elevator.

Unless you are going to ski, there is nothing much there to see or do.

"Loved it"

10.0

My girlfriend and I love going to Woodstock. Typically we try to stay in town but we wanted to save some money this trip. Wasn't sure what to expect from Salt Ash, but I loves it. The hotel itself is quaint and cute. What really made things great was the bar/pub below. We ended up spending the whole night listening to the dope Jazz band and making friends with the locals and playing games out back. The people were great and so friendly the bar has a wonderful atmosphere. For those trying to decide to book. We are young twenty something's and full of energy. I think this is the only place well stay in in the are again.

"Not bad & ok for the price."

Not bad & ok for the price. A bit more ‘rough’ than some other inns I’ve stayed. But it was much less expensive.

"Inn in a quaint New England town"

6.0

When we arrived at the inn at 8 PM we were met by Paul and Ben, who are not the inn keepers, rather they run the attached Pub. They attempted to check us into our room, but the assigned room in the computer was not the same as what I had chosen. After a phone call to the inn keeper (whom we never met) and 10 minutes later, we were taken to our room in another building on the property-an old 1800's building that was not much to look at, but very different on the inside. Our room with fireplace is on the 2nd floor, and is not ready to receive guests. After some quick picking up and towels placed in the bathroom, we begin to settle in. At first glance the room is just as pictured on the website. The fireplace works and is welcome during the chilly nights. However, the mattress is hard as a rock, and I have 2 restless nights. The bath and shower are clean and the shower has good water pressure. The is evidence of mice in the bathroom sink cabinet drawer. We were not looking for a 5 star resort, but we were a tad disappointed that we never met the inn keeper to express our concern.

"Nice informal place to stay on scenic route 100"

8.0

We love the area. The hotel keeper was informal, left our keys for us, gave us good recommendations for dinner. Felt like home. The lounge was fine for reading and napping and doing some work.
