The negative reviews have some validity as to the needed updates but the views of the bay more than makeup for the lacking public areas. Our room was amazing as we upgraded to the seaview 1 bedroom villa with a private pool. We never had to leave the room and ordered most food/beverages to the room. Reviews say place is empty but that’s because all rooms are villas with private pool!! Why would I use a communal pool when I have a private jetted Infinity pool overlooking the water? If you are looking for private stay with no crowd and romantic this is the place. Room 111 is best. Right next to pool bar for ordering food/drinks. Some rooms do not have view so make sure to book sea view! Worth every penny. The drinks are overpriced and the staff is not aware of what is on the menu or what the different options are which is a reflection upon the management and not the individual. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. English speaking is lacking. Eclipse restaurant food is good and views are incredible for romantic dinner at sunset. We were only ones there! Felt like Place was open just for us! Staff left us to enjoy but waited good distance away in case we needed anything. Great place to stay just remember it’s a resort and everything costs $$ and is more expensive than street restaurants. They charged 20baht for bucket of ice to room. Lol Would recommend 1 to 2 night stay. Spa was fairly priced and good massage. $80 for 2hr massage. 1/2 the price of what cost in USA. Cheaper at outside locations but service is worth it.

So generally there is always a bad review for almost everything you look into. I start by looking at the worst and try to decide if it’s a one off or an ongoing issue. Well this time I guessed wrong... while the staff is wonderful the hotel is terrible. Here is a short list: -Everything from the rooms to the public spaces needs repair. (See pictures) -The rooms themselves speak of a wonderful past but they are really awful now. -The topper is that we wanted to go to beach that is pictured on the website and company video but to our surprise we were told that you can’t use the beach. Walking down the stairs to the beach is an exciting adventure as it is crumbling from neglect. Arriving at the beach you are greeted with plastic litter and empty beer bottles and all manner of crap. All in all, the other reviews were exactly right...this place is way past it’s prime. We left the next day.

Large and comfortable rooms, very pleasant helpful and courteous staff. The resort is close to the Marina but somehow isolated. Breakfast is decent.

Very clean, private and wonderful staff. Wonderful location and views. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the spot.

The first thing to note is that this location is remote, so if you are looking to visit the night markets or explore Phuket the taxi's could get expensive. But we just book a room for the first two nights of our trip and it was perfect. The service was great, and we felt very welcome. The private little pool/hot tub that each room has on it's balcony was perfect for relaxing after a 16 hour flight to Thailand. The large two-tiered pool over-looking the beach was also very relaxing, and offered an incredible view. They even had inflatables ready for our use and beach towels waiting for us. I have to disagree with the reviews saying that this place was dirty or dated. Our room (201) was very clean, and the amenities seemed relatively new and well kept. My wife was in heaven and I felt completely relaxed during our stay.

After booking this resort, I realized that most of the recent reviews of this resort were negative. So my husband and I were skeptical about going here, since we had booked 5 nights and it was nonrefundable. But the moment we got out of the cab and entered the reception of the resort, we knew that our decision was not wrong. Incredible hospitality by the staff including the owner of the resort, who personally welcomed us. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food, perfect location, quiet resort, close to the Ao Po pier where the excursions start. Highly recommended!

Short one night stay whilst visiting clients in marina next door, big villas great views friendly service.

The hotel has stunning views and a nice infinity pool. Access to the beach is great and is close to the Grand Marina if you are chartering a yacht. The hotel was pretty much void of guests due to the low season and as such, small things were left undone, such as removing dead cockroaches from our room and a giant spider from the toilet. When we asked to use the bicycles the hotel offers, they had no air in the tyres and the attendant seemed reluctant to fill them until we insisted. Bikes were also of poor quality. Restaurant did not serve everything on the menu due to the lack of guests too. Overall, it was fine for one night, but I am unlikely to return.

None of the staff spoke any English so it was challenging to communicate. Our room was leaking from the rain and they gave me some dirty towels to wipe it up. There was 1 bath towel in the room on arrival for 2 people. No hand or wash clothes. This took several calls to resolve. The restaurant had no white or red wine but again couldn’t communicate this. I was finally offered a bottle of sparkling but had to buy the whole bottle. There was no bar or minibar. We did not see one other guest in 24 hours. The whole place is run down and dated. Would not recommend.

We rented a boat from the Ao Po grand marina and needed a place to stay before going to the airport. The hotel is very remote and wouldn’t be a great place to stay for more than a couple of days. Our one bedroom villa had a private pool and outdoor shower. It was a romantic villa slightly dated but perfect for one night. The spa was super overpriced. The resort was extremely deserted and didn’t see any other guest except Chinese tourists. I’m not sure if the Chinese tourist stay there or if they just eat there. Not many restaurants around the hotel, but if you are in need of a restaurant the restaurant at the marina is great for breakfast. Pier 88 awesome for all meals and we recently stumbled upon a new restaurant called the gallery. All are great restaurants. Hotel restaurant seemed closed and deserted. Also, most/all of the staff didn’t speak English!! It was the one place in Thailand where I needed my google translator. Thank goodness a nice lady - maybe the manager, popped in and out and was the only one to speak English.
