"relaxing getaway"

10.0

Not a traditional hotel more like a renting a condo. Beautiful view of golf course. Restaurants, golfing and all activities less than a mile away. Had a wonderful time.

"Good area, good amenities, average accommodations"

8.0

There are alot of pluses to this resort, but the actual accommodations were very average. The pluses: The Lake Lure area is very nice and the resort had access to many nice amenities (pools, golf course, spa, access to tours, boat rental) and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen had appropriate tools and appliances. Everything was clean and well-maintained. On the negative side: the construction was that of a lower-end tract house -- thin, non-soundproofed walls, thin unpadded carpet, bad counter space. 1 bedroom supposedly slept 4, but would be difficult with that many people. There was nowhere except the small kitchen table where 4 people could sit in same room. The living room contained only a short-ish sofa, and no chairs. Everything else, including the bathroom, was downstairs, but the only chairs downstairs were the kitchen chairs. There weren't enough electric outlets in the kitchen or bedroom. I did catch a glimpse of the 2 bedroom unit next door and it looked like it was arranged much better. All in all I would recommend this resort for warmer months when you can take advantage of the outdoors. In November it was a little limited. Also, before you book be very careful to understand the layout of the units so that you can be sure you would be comfortable with the number of people you have.

"Relaxing Stay"

8.0

Our condo overlooked the golf course and offered a nice morning view of the surrounding woods and mountain tops. The Wyndham staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. The only downside to our stay was the rather hard queen size bed (no kings avaiable at the resort), and the lack of soundproofing between us and the neighboring unit, whose laughing one night and snoring in the early morning were quite noticeable. Overall, it was a beautiful and comfortable stay. The Fairview Mountains and Lake Lure are absolutely georgous, even in November.

"Perfect for family visit!"

10.0

Our family had a home rented, so the Wyndham Resort was perfect for our stay. We could have a bit of breakfast then leave for the day. The place was very well stocked.

"It's okay..."

6.0

The resort is a little dated and all of the perks are off-site at a neighboring resort. The whole experience would have been better if we didn't have to load the kids into the car simple to go to the pool, gym, etc. All in all...it's okay. Not a whole lot of options for lodging in the area.
