Box Canyon Lodge and Hot Springs

The rooms were missing towels, curtains and cleaning supplies and we had to go to the office to get them. The hot springs hot tub was so dirty and slimy my husband injured himself.

Breakfast was average at best. Location was excellent. Staff was courteous and helpful. Hot tubs were a plus.

Rooms are tired and in desperate need of updating. The entire hotel leaned at an angle. Everything in the room sloped towards the entry door. Really weird. Rooms were musty smelling, and the carpet was very dated.

The carpet was extremely dirty and worn The mattress wasn't great. I think it may have been a topper. The hot tubs were gross.

The bed was very comfortable and lots of good food nearby.

Your staff was very friendly and helpful! The hot tubs were the perfect temperature and so relaxing! Shops and restaurants are about a 10 minute walk. We didn’t try the waffles but everything else at breakfast room was great. Thank you Box Canyon Lodge, we’ll be back!

The location is great (it's just a few blocks into town). But the lodge itself is tired and dated and the hot springs felt slimy and unkept. It felt like an old roadside motel. I understand prices in Ouray are high in the summer, but this felt expensive for the quality. It served its purpose but nothing more. I stayed there one night and would not have wanted to stay more. Look around before booking.
