The Lodge was just average for the amount of money that we paid. it needs an update, the walls in the room were dirty, there is carpet in the room that did not look/ feel clean. The bathtub was separating from the wrap around.

Pros- Rooms are easily accessible, especially with pets. Walkable to town in 10 minutes which was great. Easy access to hikes from directly outside the hotel. Cons- Our room had a bad smell in the carpet from previous pets. We also had mold in the bathroom in multiple places. Our AC unit also didn't work, so it was hot for sleeping. We had to open all the windows during the day to try and air it out. The bathroom door was scratched up from an animal at some point. The room cost $500 a night with pets. It was worth around $150-200 max.

This is the most disgusting hotel Iโ€™ve ever seen. The hot spring tubs that they offer were completely filled with black and green mold. The beds are not queen sized. They are full. The rooms were musty and the beds were awful. I couldnโ€™t wait to get out.

"The cost was high for the room like all rooms in town."

The hot springs were cool. Location was good. The bed was very comfortable.

The A/C unit was noisy to the point of not being able to sleep.

"Dirty rooms,"

4.0

I would like to start with a positive response, I like the soaking tubs, atmosphere and friendly staff. However, my accommodations were disappointing especially for $300 a night. When I first entered my room (236) I went to get ice. When I picked up the ice bucket there was water in it. I can only assume it was left over from the previous guest and never cleaned and bag replaced. After a full day drive and a relaxing soak it was time for bed. When I pulled the sheets down a noticed a nice blood stain on the sheets. Not a nice thing to see before crawling into bed. The AC fan made a very loud noise that kept me up. This was not normal, trust me as a frequent traveler staying 100+ nights a year I know. Lastly, while showering both mornings in the middle of my shower lost almost all water pressure. I did bring this up to the front desk and they did change the sheets for my 2nd night. I did not make a scene of my disappointment as there were many guests in the lobby/breakfast area and the young lady was very busy multitasking. This was a leisure trip and I also did not want to ruin it for me and my aunt and uncle who I was traveling with.

"Clean it up a bit and itโ€™s perfect"

6.0

Overall, it was a decent stay. My concerns are strictly relegated to cleanliness. Everything else was great! Staff were friendly, and the location was perfect! The hot springs were cool, although a warning that the wooden seats/steps into the pools were slippery AF wouldโ€™ve been nice. BE CAREFUL! As far as cleanliness, the floor was covered in grit. It wouldโ€™ve been a simple sweep job to fix that. I battled with a fly for the majority of the night. And most importantlyโ€ฆ The white towels were stained and ratty, yet there is a sign in the bathroom talking about their amazing towels and how you can buy them if youโ€™d like one. There was also a small stain in the linens as well. Other than cleanliness, which is an easy fix, the rooms were really nice. They have an ice machine and laundry facilities on site.

Not as described in photos. Rooms do not look like that. For the excessive price, this hotel is pretty run down. May need to put more money into it. Looks like they tried to redo baths (which looks good), but sheets dingy/spots, opening under door allows bugs to come in. Hot spring area needs some work/cleaning and updating. Hotel staff nice and breakfast was decent.

Hot tubs from natural springs are a wonderful feature for this hotel. But currently Ouray, CO has a bear problem which limits when you want to wonder around outside.
