Auberge du Vieux-Port

This hotel was amazing. The staff went above and beyond, so helpful and so nice. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed. We had a river view and it was beautiful. The bar in the hotel and on rooftop were great and Nicholas made the best drinks! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Pretty hotel with nice rooms and great location.

While we didn’t receive any perks, we liked this property for the location and the wonderful bed with Frette sheets. The negative was the breakfast that was served at their Lobster Bar restaurant. Truly bad. Dry toast, no butter or jam, overcooked omelet and salad with no dressing. The coffee was very good though.

Had some issues that could have been resolved by the hotel more professionally. We had requested adjacent rooms (and followed up with an email) and at check in they didn't mention anything but then gave us keys to rooms on different floors... We had requested a late check out for one room so baby could nap, but they also ignored this and when we inquired later they said the hotel was full (it was not as seen online). After dinner I took the very slow elevator up to our room to put overly tired baby to bed but the key didn't work. I went back downstairs but nobody was at the desk and waited and nobody was there. Turns out receptionist was around the corner outside somewhere. Finally got key to work and asked receptionist to bring new key to my wife who was finishing up dinner/paying the bill. They forgot to do this. If the communication and care / intentionality had been taken care of, this place would have been great. Very convenient location, clean rooms, charming look, etc.

As soon as we walked into the hotel, the valet took our key and parked our car. Check-in took just minutes with friendly people. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. It’s situated across from the waterfront, so easy access to anywhere in the old port or waterfront activities. It’s only a few blocks to metro and very easy to navigate. There are 3 restaurants at the in, Pincette being our favorite. This was our second stay and we would always go back. Staff were always available if needed.

Historic buildings renovated into a hotel. Lobby staff were competent in recognizing that reservation data transferred from expedia reflected 1 room for 2 nights as opposed to 2 rooms for 1 night. All the staff were bilingual and very pleasant. No self parking options.

Great stay! The area felt safe and walkable, with plenty of dining options nearby. Super convenient location—would definitely return.

We chose this hotel for the location but didn’t realize we wouldn’t want to leave the hotel. The roof top terrace was amazing and the wait staff very hospitable. We canceled our dinner reservation off property and dined at the lobster restaurant at the hotel - we enjoyed ourselves very much. People were nice, the food was good, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Our hotel room is lovely with old photographs of what the street and harbor once looked like. Great atmosphere that makes us feel that we are in an interesting place.

Property and hotel are excellent and beautifully located. However there is no car parking and it costs over $50 per night to have your car parked for you. The hotel is old but lovingly maintained and it retains the cultute and sophistication of a byegone era.If you are not worried about the cost of parking your car this hotel is an excellent choice
