Quality Inn Downtown Helen

We were very happy with our visit

Nothing to complain about

The Quality Inn is located 1 block off Main Street and 2-3 blocks away from the center of activity which gave it a quieter setting than some of the motels on the main drag. There were a lot of positives like the friendly staff getting us into our room before noon and the nice continental breakfast with waffles, bagels, muffins, juices, coffees, teas etc. The motel had a quaint look with the facade in keeping with the Alpine architecture and the use of bears. The king room was very nice; they had an attractive small swimming pool and the hanging lights on the property gave it an inviting look at night. The price was a bargain compared to most of the other motels in town and we would certainly stay here again if we ever get back to Helen. If there was 1 negative it was that the breakfast room could get crowded at times.

Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Room well renovated and clean. Bed was comfortable. Location is in a good area. Walking distance to town.

There was mold on the wall outside the shower wall where water leaks out of bathtub

This property was generally what one would expect at a hotel in this class. Rooms are adequate and beds are comfortable. Location is excellent. The breakfast is just adequate, offering a bit less than similar properties. The major disappointment, however, at this hotel was the charge for parking. Hotels in this class in this type of setting would never charge for parking. Even as a Choice Hotel member, there was no way to avoid the parking fee.

The location, pool, hospitality, and food was great! The rooms were really clean and no noise at all which we really appreciated.
