the location to downtown Helen was precisely the reason we chose to stay here. - walking distance to everything we wanted to do.

The office and 'breakfast' were found to be a bit lacking. It's an older hotel and while the room itself was somewhat modernized (mainly the bathroom, lighting, sink area, well working AC), the checkin/office/breakfast area itself seemed stuck in the past with minimal seating for breakfast, and not many offerings for the breakfast itself.

When I walked into the room I could smell the cleanliness.

The main thing was the fact that I stayed close so I didnt have to pay for parking in town then got charged to park at the hotel. It wasn't listed on booking either. Someone else in there checking in was also shocked as she was told when she booked either. I don't like hidden fees. The bed was too hard for our liking and we were above the office so you could smell the waffles cooking. Was also hoping for a hot breakfast not continental.
