Hampton Inn Santa Rosa

Not a 3 star hotel. Experience started at the front desk where we were greeted by a sign that said desk attendant was away. To her credit, she sprinted in from the parking lot within a minute of our arrival seeking of weed and red-eyed, but at least she was ok to deal with. Our room had crumbs and trash on the floor- apparently it was not vacuumed after previous checkout. Wallpaper was peeling or missing in spots. Ceiling was plastered and painted over in dated spots like a landlord special. No jot water in the showers whatsiever (waited over 10 minutes and the mattresses were stained and dirty- seems like they need replacing. If we had not been so tired we probably would have gone elsewhere but we were just there to sleep and leave. We travel as a family year round and have stayed in dozens of hotels across the country. I've seen worse hotels than this but Ai gave also seen much better. Management and ownership need to consider improving this place in the very immediate future for continued business.

Did not eat the breakfast. But they had good coffee available for those of us who departed early. Bed was super comfortable. Nice gym. Pool looked good, though we didn’t use it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was excellent.

No real downside. At this price point, it’s an excellent value. Not many good dinner options other than fast food locally, but it’s in a really small town.

Breakfast was OK but nothing special. Hotel was on main street (Old Route 66) with other hotels and we found a pleasant Mexican restaurant just down the street.

This Hampton Inn seemed to be a little run down. Furniture in our room was noticeably worn.

I drove 15 hours to come to a room of dirty sheets. I called the front desk and when I told the lady it was almost as if she didn't believe me. A gentleman came up with clean sheets .he going to change them until I told him about the pillow cases as well it look like they weren't changed. He then changed me to a different room. That room smelled horrible. I went down to let them know that if I was gonna be paying $173 for a room I wanted to make sure I was gonna be comfortable. He told me that after this 3rd room he wouldn't be able to accommodate me because I booked threw a 3rd party. I just looked at him. Luckily the 3rd room was better then the other two , or else I was gonna get my money back. Overall it was a hassle and driving that many hours you don't want to come to a hotel you pay that much for and go threw all of that.

Dirty busy place. Shower filthy, cracked sink...overall a filthy place that needs a major update. I requested extra pillows and towels in advance. They weren't there. I am not sure why I bothered requesting them here.

I didn’t have any issues with the hotel.

My only complaint is that the pet fee, $75, is way too high. It shouldn’t be no more than $50.
