Hampton Inn Canon City

I cannot recommend this hotel. First impression was poor...exterior landscaping was full of weeds and sign said welcome spring...in August? Front desk was closed upon our arrival with a sign saying come back at 3. We arrived at 3:15 and were told the elevator was out of service and no first floor rooms were avaliable. We are 80+ years old and forced to carry luggage to 2nd. The laundry was also out of service. The ice machine leaked so that our entrance was wet and slippery. The furniture in the breakfast room was torn and carpet dirty. Our room did seem to be clean but only had one chair. Bathroom wall hung body wash, shampoo, etc., gone. Only tiny bottles...probably not enough for even one person. This is not what we expect from the Hilton group of hotels.

At check in staff said elevators broken, its ok but carpets dirty, same inside room. Bathroom is in bad shape. No soap only 1-15ml shampoo.

This was a terrible experience! We waited 30 minutes in the lobby with 10 other people for someone to show up to check us in. Someone from the cleaning crew had to call the manager to come to the hotel to help. The elevator wasn’t working so we had to walk up the stairs to get to our room. When we got to our room we discovered that we only had towels for one person so we had to go and get more. One towel had a huge hole in it, about 4 inches. The shampoo container in the shower was completely empty. The toilet paper holder was torn off the wall with the toilet paper left on the floor. The body lotion container that was supposed to be on the wall by the sink was torn off the wall along with the wallpaper. There was no hairdryer in the room. We asked the person at the desk if they could get us one. The person stated that he would try, but many of the hairdryers have been stolen by the staff. He never got back to us. We also told him about the other problems with the room. We were advised to take anything we didn’t want stolen by the staff with us when not in the room. So we carried many things with us, carrying everything down then up the stairs during our stay. I didn’t expect this from a Hampton Inn.

The elevator is broken, the ice machine is broken, the washer/dryers are also broken. The room was dirty, bathroom was dirty. It didn’t have toilet paper. The phone in the room didn’t work to call the front desk.

Elevator has been out of order for months. Spa and pool out of order for months. Laundry room out of order for months. Room condition disgusting. Not cleaned. Sheets spoiled! One towel in room. No soap or shampoo. Breakfast area disgusting. No one at front desk to check us in. Carpet worn and tattered. Condition of hotel is disgusting. Do not stay there. Is owner out of money to take care of the basics? Elevator down for months!

Arrived to find, elevators not working, pool and spa closed. Had to switch rooms due to first room not being cleaned.

The first flooe was flooded, mold in the bathtub, mildew throughout the hotel, elevator was not in service, rusted nasty waffle iron, Manage would not call is fix anything! no rooms available to change rooms. Several customers leaving, they overbooked. I feel I should be reimbursed as a paying customer and loyala to hilton hampton for over 15 years! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Property is getting very dated. Elevator not working. No staff at front desk. Grout in shower black and moldy. No shampoo in shower. Lots of weeds outside property.
