Hampton Inn Canon City

My family and I did not like anything about this property. This property is not well managed. The property does appear to be older but it is not clean. From the front desk, having their cigarettes on the counter and in shorts/tank top. At first I wasn’t sure if they worked there. Rooms were dirty, white blanket was turning yellow. My parent’s rooms blanket had ink stain. The bathrooms looked like they had not been scrubbed. The appliances were making noises which I had to unplug. No toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash/ toilet paper). When asked for toilet paper we were given a used small roll. The morning complimentary breakfast was not available at the time it was suppose to be ready. When it was finally put out it was limited and not presentable. The syrup container looked like it had not been cleaned. This was definitely not a positive experience.

Another disappointment about this property was that the pool was not open. Probably a good thing since it probably would have been dirty.

The elevator was broken when we arrived. The pool and hot tub were out of order (one of the reasons we chose this hotel). The bathroom sink was clogged and leaked all over. The bedding didn't fit the bed. There was a homeless camp just off the property and the homeless attempted to break into cars in the parking lot.

Never put sign that elevator was out of service. Pool closed

Pool was not open. And needed towels for shower

Front desk clerk was out side smoking, Shower head don’t work, Shower leaks all the time, Black Mold around Shower Doors, Refrigerator smells, Elevator didn’t work at check in, Pool and spa was not listed on line as out of service for repairs

This hotel is convenient and that it is right on the main street of the town and easy to find. However, it is in sore need of a renovation! It seems very “tired”. They seemed to be very short staffed perhaps. In the room that I initially was put in, the sink did not drain, there was some sort of splashed liquid on the floor in front of the toilet, there was no hand soap at the sink, and the room had a very strong odor of some kind. They very kindly switched rooms for me, and this was much better. What I did like was the fact that the shower had lots of good pressure, the AC unit had a “always on” fan option, which greatly helps with white noise that is an aid to sleep, and the bed was comfortable. The grounds outside also reflect the need for maintenance. See the attached photo. Most of the restaurants you would need to drive to since nothing is convenient except a very excellent Chinese restaurant directly across the street. This is where I went, so this aspect was OK.

The staff was friendly but the elevators were down, our room blankets had stains, our bathroom door didn't have a handle on the outside so we were afraid to shut it, and there were ants.

Please go somewhere else. Our door had been kicked in at some point and the lock didn't work, there was blood on the covers, only 1 bath towel, The pool and Jacuzzi were closed in the middle of summer and then the elevator broke and we had to carry everything down from the 3rd floor. We sat at the front desk for over 20 minutes waiting to check out and inform them of our issues and not one person was around.

Allgemein war das Hotel in einem reparaturbedürftigen, verwahrlosten Zustand. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer ist so laut, dass man sie über Nacht abschalten muss. Anscheinend hat die Nachtschicht an der Rezeption das Hotel wegen zu vieler Beschwerden von Gästen vorzeitig verlassen. Das war dann auch der Grund, warum es um 8:00 noch kein Frühstück gab (Frühstück von 6:00 a 9:00). Der Mitarbeiter, der dann vor Ort war, hat sich sehr darum bemüht, den Gästen ein Frühstück zu ermöglichen. Das Management hat anscheinend kein Interesse, die Zustände zu verbessern.

Hotel was Nasty!! One employee there running hotel. Stained furniture, inches of dust on everything, no towels.Horrible
