"Disappointed"

A place to sleep after a very long stressful day.

Lumpy Pillows that need replaced. Not mattress cover just the regular fitted sheet. Smoke detector gone and missing being ripped off the wall. No breakfast. They stated no hot breakfast, no wifi, no hot tub (which I could care less about) they did say a child breakfast from 6-9am. However when I went down before 9 there was only coffee. Being a Hampton I assumed things would have been exceptional but as the saying goes one should never assume and the rest everyone knows.

"Didn't even take a room."

When we arrived there were no exterior lights on and the building looked like it was closed. The front desk attendant was very straight forward when she informed me that nearly all of the amenities in the building were unavailable (wifi, T.V., pool and hot tub, and breakfast in the morning). When I asked about canceling she was unable to assist and informed me that I needed to contact booking.com for a refund.

"Worst Hampton Inn anywhere in America"

We arrived at this Hampton Inn about 9pm in Canon City, CO. It was late november and they had very few guests. But per the young lady at the desk; their hotel room key computer system was down and had been for hours. Several guests could not have room keys and they had to ask the one worker in the hotel, at the front desk, to use her master key anytime they needed in their room! The bluetooth digital key system was also down. So she took us up to a room on 3rd floor? to show us. We walked down dirty hallway carpets with leaves laying around! We entered the room and the main light fixture was all burnt out. The TV would not load any channels, kept spinning..They only had tiny sample tubes of soap and shampoo on the counter, the usual large bottles in the shower were all empty and the desk worker said that was housewide! And there were no sanitary wrapped drinking glasses in the room. So we went back to the desk and told her the issues and she took us to another room on another floor. Same dirty hallways and room issues. So we told her we needed to leave and she promised she would not bill us for the night we had not stayed. Surprise! A week later i found a charge of $83.00 to my charge card from this hotel! I called and spoke to another young lady who understood and issued a credit. I have been a hilton honors member for 30 years and NEVER had an experience like this! They should be ashamed and get things straightened up by Hilton corporate.

"This Hampton Inn was a disappointment"

I have been a devoted customer of Hampton Inn for many years. I was very glad to see that there was one in Cañon City. Unfortunately, this Hampton Inn has seen better days as its condition was in fair condition. As I made my way to my room, three rooms were open, and the housekeeping cart was in the hallway… that’s not unusual, but it was almost 6 o’clock in the evening. The smell was a combination of bleach and musty (I guess it was from the carpet). When I got to my room, it was in fair condition, but I immediately heard my neighbors because the walls were so thin. The one bright spot was my check-in . The person there was friendly and my check-in was easy. However, when I checked out the next morning at 7 AM, no one was at the front desk . I rang the bell, but no one came. I went to get my car and load my luggage. I came back in and still no one was there. I rang the bell again and again, but no luck. I left my keys in a note to tell them I was checking out. As I left, I noticed there were only a few other cars in the parking lot. It was one of the most bizarre stays I’ve ever had anywhere. Sadly to no one, surprise. I will not be staying here ever again.

"This hotel does not live up to Hilton standards"

We frequently stay at Hampton Inns when we travel because they are consistent - clean, good breakfast, friendly staff. We always know what to expect and our expectations are either met or exceeded. This stay, in Canon City was terrible. Our first room was missing the handle on the bathroom door. I would have expected the room to be checked out before assigning us to the room. In addition, there were missing light bulbs in the lamps. When we spoke to the front desk, the young woman cheerfully moved us to a different room. It too was missing light bulbs. It did not have adequate plugs for our device charging needs. And, there was food left in the room refrigerator from a previous guest. The Kleenex in the rooms was substandard. Breakfast the next morning was equally bad. The oatmeal looked like it had been prepared several days ago and was a giant lump in the bottom of the container. There was a sign apologizing for no hot food, their equipment was out of order. We ended up leaving a day early. This propertry does not live up to Hilton standards. All that being said, the staff at the Canon City Hampton Inn was delightful. Understanding. Accommodating. Helpful. Special kudos to Katie, Elanna and especially to John. John was very empathetic to our complaints and expressed true remorse for our bad experience.

"This hotel is dirty."

This hotel is dirty, if I ever came through here again and the only options were this hotel and my vehicle I would stay in my vehicle. When I opened the door the water in the bathtub tub was running and wouldn’t turn off. I tried calling the front desk and the phone didn’t work, so I had to take all our stuff back down the janky elevator and when I talked to the front desk she told me it was the only clean room available and asked if the water was “too loud”. We got there at almost 7pm. The rooms all should have been cleaned hours earlier.

We don't have the opportunity to travel much. I have photo proof. Fire alarms out of order. Under fire watch. Never observed the watch rounds. No hot food at breakfast. Laundry machines out of order. Extremely disappointed. Had asked for towels and bathroom towels and amenities. They gave extra pillows once I said 2nd guest is a disabled vet.

We reserved an ADA room and the first room wasn't clean when we got there at 5pm.They moved us to a 2nd room, but we couldn't get checked in to our room for over an hour because the door wasn't working and they had to call someone to fix it. Several guests were having trouble getting into their rooms. The people working at the desk seemed clueless. They had a posted notice at the front desk that the fire alarms were not working which was alarming. There were a few homeless people loitering around the parking lot which was unnerving. There was no hot breakfast items because the convection oven wasn't working. Overall, the hotel is in mediocre condition and we will not be staying there again.
