There was nothing we like about this place. The pool and hot are not working, breakfast had nothing to eat but oatmeal and cereal. The washer and dryer are out of order. One room had no microwave or fridge no soaps and the air conditioner was not working. We did noticed that two maintenance men were sitting on their phones when we left and when we got back several hours later they were still in the same spots on the phone. Last day leaving the elevator broke and we had to carry everything down the stairs. The elderly were having issues with the dirty stairs that have never been vacuumed. This was not worth the money at all. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone. Gross place

"Don’t stay here, drive on!!! And"

The air conditioner didn’t work. Temp in my room was 75 to 78 all night long. Handle on the shower door was broke, no soap or shower gel in the shower. Now , let’s talk about breakfast. Their oven was broke so all they had was cold oatmeal, cold coffee, and watered down orange juice. Bad, bad experience!!!!

"Very disappointed in service and condition"

No rooms that were reserved were ready even at 7:00 PM so had to get a different type of room. The room had no shampoo or conditioner and the front desk was unreachable. The hallway was dirty and unkept. The breakfast was just a pile of muffins in the middle of a table. This use to be the nicest hotel in town and now it is totally unkept, poor service and not worth the price. Very disappointed.

"Terrible ! "

The air conditioner in my room was broken - they brought a fan , that also didn’t work. The elevator did not work - and even though my bed looked made - it was missing sheets . The best part of my stay was the man working the front desk in the morning . He was apologetic and helpful .

"Sightsee - But Don't Stay Overnight"

Poor Management: Corporate should be embarrassed to list this as a Hilton Property. We are HH Members. It is always my policy that if I have a problem with our Hilton Property location, I always take it up with the management first before writing my reviews. It gives them the opportunity to address my concerns. Management has yet to respond to any of my emails. Also, their phone must stay off the hook, because it is always busy Overall Property: Unclean and front desk employee was dressed unprofessional. Website did not reflect that their Pool, Spa and Washer/Dryer were closed due to repairs. That would have been nice to have known. The very minimal has been done to the property to keep it open and is the reason it is in such poor condition. Uncleaned Rooms: We picked our room through the app on the 1st floor. When we arrived at 1 PM, our rooms were not ready and were told because they had a full house the night before. They told us to check back at 2 PM. We did and our rooms were nasty. Wallpaper ripped off the wall in the bathroom. Candy and chips left on the floor. I was unsure about the beds being clean, so I pulled all the covers back to be sure there was nothing left in the bed. The couple we were traveling with had one bed that had not even been changed. At 6:30 PM we went to the front desk and had to wait in line behind many others asking for our bathroom linens. Breakfast: Due to the uncleanliness of the rooms and entire property, we chose not to eat the complimentary breakfast. Lobby Area: Appear to be nice, but I didn't walk around and truly look. I did see someone taking a chair from the lobby seating area and it looked like she was bringing it back to her room. There must not have been a chair at her desk area in her room is all I could think of. Parking Area: There are plenty of parking spaces available near the front door. Summary: Upon check out, I had the opportunity to talk to the Night Auditor who was working the front desk. She told me that she listens to the same complaints every morning. The absolute worse Hilton property I have stayed at. This property's condition didn't happen overnight. It is clear that the minimal upkeep has been done. I have filed multiply complaints with Hilton Corporate. I actually talked with Hilton Corporate the night we arrived, demanding my Hilton Points back and a refund for the second room. The answer I received was, "We have to go thru the Corporate channels and give the management the opportunity to respond". Really, has Hilton Corporate been readying the reviews that we all are posting. Clearly Not! Do you do diligent and visit only Canon City during the day and drive the extra 45 minutes to Colorado Springs and book a hotel there. Prior to this review, I did receive back 40,000 HH points. But still have been unable to talk with management. 2nd Room: still waiting to see a refund hit credit card. We did learn from a local business that the county council chose the prison system over educational institutions as their revenue funding. I was so shocked when she said there were 6 prisons in the county, so I goggled it and there is actually 10 Federal and State prisons in the county. I would suggest that they use their prison revenue to solicit more hotels if they want to continue as a tourism community.

"Run, don't just walk away."

Hilton needs to pull this from their portfolio as it is far below their standards. Two couples, two rooms. We both moved as the shower hot water would not turn off and TV would not work. Other room TV did not work, said no one occupied that room. Both moved to another room as we were told there was no one they could call about problem?? Second room for both was not much better, shower again would not turn off and this TV would turn on, but room was not occupied. Showed a different room. Again, was told no one to fix problem. We were unsure what the quality of stay would be past this point and breakfast, not taking a chance. Pool closed and hot tub closed. Both looked like it had been a while since either had been working. We and a number of other guests checked out and moved hotels as we could not stand the possibility of continued lack of service or quality.

On arrival discovered pool was out of service. Many things not working from breakfast steam table to vent fan in bar room. Three day stay with no room refresh at all. Staff was friendly but no follow up on problems.
