Jolie Ville Hotel & Spa Kings Island Luxor

The place is stunning, the views of the nile, the well manicured lawns, trees, facilities..lovely. The rooms, are usual resort styled, the superior ones bigger than others. Cleanliness is average. Not spotless or high end. Always good to request rooms on the same side of the resort ( its HUGE). We didn't and that resulted in some unpleasantness. The breakfast, if not included in the room is a bit expensive but its a logical convenient choice. It is crowded though. And the queues for omelette and eggs never-ending. Many good dinner options. I am sure other places in the city would have better pricing but the restaurants have their own charm. There is a bar - with rather expensive coffee option after hours. Like most hotels in Egypt, they have a policy of no room visits - which is something they remind you when you are checking in. But its bit too much when the staff refused cart service, voicing his rather disrespectful assumption - for wanting to escort a female friend to their side of the resort when we returned late after midnight . We understand and respect the cultural aspects - but the staff should also be respectful to multi-gender groups of friends. There is always a non-offensive way of sharing official policies without assuming/voicing the worst. Some training needed there. All said and done - would I go again? yes because of the grounds and the walks around the island.

Jolie Ville is a large resort and very busy, but it’s a great place if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy resort facilities. The property is spacious, well laid out, and you can easily spend two full days just relaxing within the resort without feeling the need to step out. The downside is the location—you’ll need a taxi or car to get to the main areas of Luxor. That said, the resort does provide two shuttle services per day, which helps. Make sure to check the shuttle timings as soon as you arrive so you can plan your days accordingly. Overall, it’s an excellent option if your priority is comfort, relaxation, and resort amenities rather than being close to the city buzz. I would definitely go back and stay longer just to enjoy the resort itself.

We stayed at the Joli Ville for one night while visiting Luxor. The hotel is located on an island and is layed out as a large resort. There are multiple villas containing the rooms. Being on the island felt just like a high-end Carribean all-inclusive resort. While we didn't try any during our visit, there are four restaurants, a zoo, tennis courts, and a pool. The resort offers golf cart transportation as some of the villas are quite a long walk from reception. We stayed in villa 10 (4000 room numbers) and had a lovely view of the river Nile. The room itself was very large, featuring a mini-fridge, tv, large balcony, a well appointed bathroom with the usual amenities as well as a bidet, and a king sized bed. Of note, the shower was a shower/bath combo with a high step up. We had no issues, but if you have mobility issues, this may be a concern. The bed was firm and comfortable. Pillows ranged from firm to softer (but still firm). We ordered room service as we had arrived after the restaurants were closed and the food was delicious. Our order arrived quickly and was warm. The staff were all very friendly and our only regret is that we did not have more time to spend here! We would have rated this a 5 star hotel, but we found that there was no hot water for the shower. We happened to shower in the evening and the morning, and both times the water was cool.

Beautiful hotel surrounded by nature. I woke up every morning to the sound of birds and a stunning view of the Nile — truly a peaceful and unforgettable experience. The staff was extremely kind, attentive, and always helpful. A special thanks to Silvana for her outstanding support, professionalism, and dedication. Highly recommended for anyone looking for relaxation, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.

During our Egypt tour, we stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it. The hotel is built on an island on the Nile River, which makes the atmosphere truly special. The ambiance, breakfast, and rooms were all excellent. It has a charming boutique hotel style, and we fell in love with the rooms. I stayed with a friend, and our room consisted of two interconnected rooms, which was very comfortable and convenient. The garden, the view, and the overall design really impressed us. Highly recommended.

The hotel and gardens are immaculate. While the rooms may be considered dated by some, they suit the traditional Luxor style and were clean, comfortable, and fully functional. Most of the staff were outstanding and truly made our stay special. The security guard near block 37 always greeted us warmly, the restaurant staff were excellent (particularly a female hostess who remembered our room number and always greeted us with the biggest smile), the gardeners would always say hello, and the pool staff went above and beyond by preparing our preferred sunbeds with fresh towels as soon as they saw us. The spa team, Hany, Sabrine, and Mariam, were exceptional. Sabrine and Mariam gave us the best massages we’ve ever had, so much so that we returned for a second visit. I highly encourage you visit them during your stay. Unfortunately, our experience with reception staff was very disappointing. Requests were handled abruptly and without professionalism, hanging up the phone before I could respond, a complete lack of empathy when enquiring about a medical matter and wanting €108 before they would phone the onsite clinic We were also moved to a downgraded room due to unexpected maintenance despite having paid £110 extra for our original room. The compensation offered was a fruit basket, which was wholly inadequate given the price difference. Reception initially refused to acknowledge clear differences between the rooms, even when shown photos. This was escalated to the duty manager, Mustafa, whose approach was confrontational and dismissive. He dismissed the photographic evidence and repeatedly insisted the rooms were the same, quoting square meter measurements and suggesting furniture layout made the room appear smaller. When we agreed to physically view the room together, it became immediately obvious that the room we had been moved to was not comparable to our original one. Only then was a like for like room provided, meaning we had to move rooms three times. Although we were eventually offered lunch and a bottle of wine as compensation, it was particularly frustrating when Mustafa attempted to later blame EasyJet Holidays for allegedly not informing the hotel of our booked room type. This explanation made no sense, as we had initially been placed in the correct, paid for room upon arrival. EasyJet were clearly not at fault, and this attempt to shift responsibility rather than take ownership of the hotel’s mistake significantly soured what should have been a resolved situation. Had this been handled professionally and with accountability from the outset, this issue would likely not have featured in this review at all as I understand maintenance issues sometimes cannot be avoided. Overall, Jolie Ville is a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff in most areas, but the reception experience let it down.

Wow! What a gem!! Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Resort was immaculate. Pools were amazing , views of the valley of the kings. Gorgeous spot on the river for dinner and drinks snd just chilling. Our room had views of the river and swimming pool and was the biggest hotel room I’ve ever seen!!

We are a family of 5, I have 3 daughters and I really liked that they had a huge kids pool with a slide and all. Also the mini zoo they have is great for the kids! Will definitely come back with the family!
