The Juliet Hotel

Didn’t have reservations correct.had 3 rooms booked but only had 2 available.check in was for 3 and wasn’t able to check in till 6:30.

This property is under new ownership and it shows. While our room was clean and nice, We had to ask for hand soap, ice and new keys as the ones provided did not work. The first morning the complimentary breakfast was not available because the cook did not show up. The second morning the croissants were good, but they charged us and extra $8.00 for one slice of bacon and an egg. Truly the only benefit is the location of this property to downtown Lafayette. We will not be staying here again. God Bless the remaining staff this new owner has as they were serving as front desk, maintenance, housekeeping etc all in one.

No early check in available. We were supposed to check in at 3:00pm, and were unable to check in until 6:00pm. I was quoted a price for the room, which was much less than I ended up paying. My total ended up being $60 more than showed when I booked the room. I was not satisfied after all was said and done. The Juliet has a lot to work on, since the new owners took over.

Negative experience with the hotel and staff from check in on. Keys malfunctioned every time. outdated rooms, NO Soap in 5 out of 7 rooms for our group, no shampoo or conditioner, slippery tub, clean but dilapidated bathroom, toilet backed up, AC in our room worked well, but other members of our group had loud AC noises every time the compressor turned on, missing remote control for tv, sealed condom left in one of our rooms (presumably from previous guest), staff seemed untrained in customer service (this is putting it mildly), hit or miss whether someone manned the front desk, had to call to get someone downstairs to check us in, the list goes on and on and this is not an exaggerated post. Will never stay there again. Location is convenient if you need to be downtown. But zero conveniences beyond location. Find an Airbnb instead, or stay elsewhere, that’s my recommendation.

My room was dirty. I mean no bedding on the mattress, garbage bags on the floor. Not swept. Just not cleaned at all. No phone to call downstairs to even let them know.

Hotel conveniently located by Borden’s downtown. The rooms are huge and gorgeous but they were a little in disarray like could have been cleaned a bit better

A beautiful French colonial style hotel with comfortable rooms and very friendly staff.

We had to wait two hours for our room. There was no apology or offer of any kind of refund. If we had checked out late though, there would have been a charge for that. There was no hand soap in the room and when we asked for hand soap they gave us more shampoo.

The staff was fantastic and everything was very clean. However they were unable to give keycards so the front desk manager had to come unlock our door every time we came back to the hotel throughout the day. Granted she was fantastic, but seemed pretty silly considering it’s one of the more expensive hotels in the area. Also the hot tub didn’t work and our bathroom tile was falling apart. Breakfast was great!
