Fond Doux Eco Resort

We loved the location, best part of Saint Lucia to stay. The staff were all very helpful, kind and welcoming. The room we had was lovely, it was huge. Lots to do with pools and the tours. The best thing was the restaurant, the food was incredible. We would definitely come again.

The little bungalows are in a wonderful garden and very private, with a generous balcony. Wonderful walking trail. Friendly staff

Beautiful grounds with nice walking trail behind with views of the Pitons, onsite restaurant was very good and good location related to the beach and other nearby tourist attractions.

Not an issue for us but would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues due to the large number of stairs/steps required to get to your room

We had a nice stay here, staff very friendly and helpful on arrival, we were given a welcome cocktail before being shown to our room which was beautiful, had air con and a 4 poster bed. There was a fourth pool which was nice, but there was only 1 restaurant (neither of the 2 listed on here) and many of the items on the menu weren't available. It was odd, you chose the dish and the chef on that day served whatever he felt like in the vicinity of your choice... breakfast the first day was a variety buffet and thereafter was a very limited set menu which again they served what they wanted. The bar was a little limited, again lots of things were unavailable and each server made the drinks differently so you could never get the same thing twice. The bar closed early every night which was a shame as there was nothing else to do after dark. We didn't have any hot water but given the climate we were ok with this. Unfortunately, there were works going on while we were there so we were subjected to chainsaws and workmen shouting while we were trying to relax. At night, we had a bird in our roof that made a loud chirping at all hours. We found fond doux very expensive, and all costs were subject to 17% (service and tax) so costs stacked. The free beach shuttle was good but still quite a walk, and the taxi was expensive and late both ways. They priced everything in US$ but then charged us in EC$ so we were charged extra for this currency. It was a bit of a mixed bag but overall good!

Beautiful location and buildings.

We spent a fantastic week at this resort to relax and recharge. A lush and tranquil place, exactly as we imagined it to be before our travel to Saint Lucia. Our room was very spacious and clean, with a modern bathroom and a small kitchenette. We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast every morning, and ate lunch and/or dinner on a daily basis, all offered a la carte (English, American, Caribbean) or as a buffet with good food choices, complemented with local juices and desserts. The beautiful rustic restaurant is surrounded by lots of greenery complete with mango trees, cocoa, banana, palms, etc, and visited by a variety of birds, including hummingbirds. We spent most of our time on the property, taking advantage of the large and three small pools, reading in the shade under the palapa, which also offers a small library of books. We hiked the trail loop (although somewhat steep, it should take less than an hour), with an amazing view of the Petit Piton. We also took the daily complimentary shuttle, a 15-min ride to Sugar Beach, with a nice beach and restaurants. Our special thanks to the friendly and helpful staff at the reception, room service, the waiters, cooks, drivers, chocolate tour staff, gift shop, and maintenance!

The resort is a beautiful place and you feel like you're in the rainforest. It has a lot of character. Good location 10 mins from Soufrierre. The nature trail is tough work but has stunning views - well worth the trek.

Food in the restaurant was good but is way overpriced doesn't cater for kids. Breakfast buffet was OK but not something you would look forward to. It's definitely shabby chic, but is maybe leaning a bit far towards shabby. Rooms have aircon but at the same time have areas which are open to the elements, so if you have the aircon turned on it cools the room a little bit but also cools the rainforest. It could with a bit more cleaning
