Fond Doux Eco Resort

Staying here was a dream. We stayed in a cottage, up in the hills, set all the way back in the rainforest. It was quiet, romantic, and tranquil. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful throughout the entire trip. Our cab and shuttle drivers were amazing and informed us of the history of St. Lucia as we drove. The resort offers a free shuttle to Sugar Beach, which has a section of chairs you can pay for or a section for free (first come basis). The dining options at Fond Doux were delicious, fresh, and used local ingredients. We really enjoyed the cuisine. The pools on the property were great. One of them has an outdoor area with a wall of books. Another, newer pool, has tables and a beautiful view of the rainforest. Overall, we were so happy with our experience and would absolutely come back to stay in the future.

Breakfast was very poor buffet style but at 9am most items were finished We were told that there were no bananas A map of the site and details of activities would have allowed us to get more out of our stay Should be umbrellas in room and restaurant The beds in heliconia were very comfortable but so tall that we had to climb up on a chair to get into bed a step stall would be useful

**Review of The Found Doux Resort** The Found Doux Resort left me with a mixed impression and some serious questions about its pricing strategy. At approximately $600 per night, the price seems only justified by its prime location. For a three-day stay for two adults and a child, we shelled out about $2,000. This rate supposedly includes breakfast, yet the offerings were unfortunately limited and rather disappointing. Breakfast was served buffet-style, but the selection was appallingly scarce. Plates were often empty, and food was sliced and served in what felt like a stingy manner. It made me wonder if there were island-wide food supply issues or if the resort simply didn't prioritize breakfast offerings. Adding to the breakfast woes was the slow and leisurely service in the restaurant, further detracting from the dining experience. I've visited many eco-resorts, like the Baldy Resort in Costa Rica, which offers hot springs and lets you immerse yourself in the tropical forest for a week at the same price. Tulum provides delightful eco-friendly breakfasts and smoothies for a much lower cost. Comparing these experiences, I'm left puzzled by the pricing for such subpar quality at The Found Doux Resort. Aside from the dining experience, the room's features also left much to be desired. The faucets and plumbing were in dire need of updating and repair, adding to the list of disappointments during our stay. In conclusion, while The Found Doux Resort enjoys a great location, the price doesn't match the quality and experience provided. I recommend potential visitors weigh their options, as there are many other eco-resorts offering more value for the same or even lower cost.

Everyone working at the resort was helpful and polite. The room was clean and spacious.

Breakfast was a bit limited. You need a car or a taxi to go anywhere.

Amazing resort set in the side of. Mountain. Beautifully maintained grounds and rooms/cottages. Hiking trails, pools, a chocolate factory all on-site. We had a hotel room. It had a front patio, refrigerator, large shower w hot water--all super clean. The restaurant was good, but pricey. Staff was very helpful and we wanted for nothing. We would definitely stay here again.
