Property Notes

A pre-authorization with a physical card will be required upon arrival. Please bring a physical card that has funds on the card together with identification. Any guest who is unable to provide authorization or a card that declines will be refused accommodations. Guests can bring their own cot at no extra cost. Please note that pets are not allowed in the public areas of the property. Pets are charged for 15 GBP per pet per night up to a maximum of 3 nights if guests stay longer than 3 nights. There is no elevator in the property. Under the current circumstances, we are offering a bed and breakfast service on Friday and Sunday. Hence the bar and restaurant will be closed on those days. The bar will remain open on Saturdays, subject to demand, until 21:30. The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday and Saturday for dinner from 18.30 to 20.30, subject to demand. The restaurant and bar are still open from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday evenings. The restaurant is open for breakfast on a daily basis. Restaurant bookings are advisable in advance to ensure you have a table. Guests staying in "Budget Double Room" may experience noise until midnight.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Amazing massage and food!"

We came here for a lovely Swedish massage. We would highly recommend, the room was large, cosy and the massage was amazing. They were fully booked for food as they had several parties and afternoon tea's booked, however they made time for us and we had a wondeful meal! All food was home made, I would highly recommend the duck pancakes, beef brisket buns and garlic mushroom starter. It really was amazing and we can't wait to go back to taste their curry! We were interested in staying one evening so staff were more than happy to show us one of the lodges which was lovely. It has a country/victorian feel to it so don't expect anything modern but we really loved that it was quiet with a beautiful garden. If your looking for somewhere to unwind and relax this will be perfect for you. Reasonable prices too. Thank you, Kristie and Andrew

Evening meal was exceptional and great value for money

Scramble eggs were not great full English a lot better. Could have more choice on the menu, such as a continental option, or omelette.

"Creepy, Eerie , unsettling , weird atmosphere"

Beautiful from the outside! The second we walked in, felt a very depressive and strange vibe! We seemed to be the only guests, and the 'welcome' at check in was not welcoming at all , which made us feel even more unsettled. Jusy felt very odd and awkward ! We couldn't quite put our finger on it but we just felt such a strange and scary vibe and atmosphere. Whole place felt abandoned with no one there at all !!! May even have enjoyed the weird ghostly feel if it wasn't for the cold reception we received! Was like he didn't want us there, almost to the point of being rude ! Room was small and outdated, and we were disappointed. Wasn't what we expected from the website! Such a shame because it's such a beautiful setting !

"Great stay bed & breakfast excellent."

Breakfast & dinner were very good value for money & tasted great.The room was small but very clean.The facilities were good.

Think there could be more attention to detail about the tea tray.(bottled water little packets of biscuits)
