Hampton Inn & Suites Opelika-I-85 Auburn Area

I appreciated the fact that the back door was locked at all times to all except those who had a room key. However, the second day, my key would not unlock the door even though it would still unlock my room.

Great place to stay. Check-in was quick and easy, hot coffee available all the time, breakfast was good. This will be my go to place to when I am in Auburn/Opelika.

I had a wonderful experience at the Hampton Inn Opelika! The staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. My room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable — exactly what you want after a long day of travel. The complimentary breakfast each morning was fresh and well-stocked, with plenty of options to choose from. I also appreciated the convenient location — close to restaurants, shopping, and just a short drive to Auburn University. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in town. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers!

I was visiting family. The stay and staff were fabulous. Breakfast had plenty of options to choose from. I would recommend.

My stay was pleasant and Flo on the front desk did a superb job.

Convenience

Needs to update furniture and upgrading the hotel over all look.

Checked in to this Hampton where an "Assistant General Manager", so she called herself, obviously did not want to be there. Totally disrespectful to the 3 guests in front of me and myself. I was here a few times in the past and it was great. BUT, after driving several hours, working all day and coming in to a crabby, disrespectful assistant General manager, no matter anything else about the hotel, it isn't worth it. During my stay, the Toilet wouldn't shut off but no way calling assistant general manager concerning this and dealing with her again. The next morning, day person had her ear bud in talking the whole time when trying to get her attention. The following morning she sat at a table kind of hidden near breakfast area on her ear bud. She appeared to be a guest, not there to help guests. Bathroom light didn't work until turning on and off 7-8 times. Old carpet. Light at the desk didn't work either. Door did not shut tight when walking out without shutting and messing with handle to get it to lock. However no one to tell that wasn't crabby or on ear bud. 3rd day pool was cloudy and obviously hasn't been cleaned. Cushions very dirty on chairs by the pool. Unfriendly facility. Other Hamptons I stay in are what a Hampton is known for, unfortunately this was not close. Desk staff can set the stage when coming into a hotel, this one made me want to turn and leave.
