The Frangipani Langkawi Resort & Spa

Fantastic beach front right Infront of at our villa which is huge. Lots of trees and named botanical plants. Interesting wild life, monkey, komodo dragon, eagle, owl, mini crabs and hermit crabs... and variety of fish you can find right at the shore including puffer fish. Great breakfast and dinner seating with beautiful sun set view. And the super friendly staff.

Just checked out few hours ago. We had encounter with roaches, spiders and ants. Posted some picture below. Only pro for this resort is that is is by the beach. But the bathroom is faulty and needs an update, they only gave two towels and no face towels. AC was split AC which really did not work up to 100 percent. There was no light outside our villa. Unfortunately, we paid for three nights and it wasn’t refundable, otherwise we hadn’t stayed. Isn’t worth $200 a night. Oh the check in was an hour long process as they don’t have people working in reservation after 8pm. The breakfast selection is also poor with very few selection.

Very relaxing and conveniently located resort. Glasses and mugs in rooms weren't always clean when replaced. Noisy air conditioner and fan but without it it was too hot! Three pools available, the salt water pool is best for adults.

Friendly and helpful staffs. The resort offers a lot of activities and tours at reasonable prices. Breakfast could have been better.

It's good value for money. Lived up to expectations. Not too much more. The location is lovely at the beach, you can easily stroll around from there. Service and cleanness are okay. It's quite kids friendly.

Liked the beach , the Frangipani trees, waking up to the sound of chirping birds, the quiet, the excellent service, the nearness to some excellent restaurants, the numerous bottles of water provided every day! Would stay here again!

Frangipani is a stunningly beautiful resort! Aesthetically designed with a unique 'Plant Adoption' scheme that not only makes it one of the most beautiful resorts on the island but also serves a purpose attracting bees and a wonderful variety of birds and wildlife. We saw White Bellied Sea Eagles nesting in the tree next to our beach house, Hornbills, Kingfishers, Myna birds and many more species - Frangipani quite rightly calls itself the Greenest Resort in Malaysia - by a long way! Every aspect of running the resort considers the environment from the naturally lit and airy entrance lobby/reception area to the composting of waste food and re-using rainwater for the loos. We loved that Frangipani recycles literally everything, plastic, cans, glass, paper and any food waste is totally composted or fed to the ducks and chickens. Grey water is managed and cleaned by natural methods using plants and trees to clean the water so literally none of it seeps into the environment - and it doesn't smell at all! There are Eco Walks every day to explain the environmental systems. Even if green credentials aren't a consideration, this is a wonderful place to stay - the rooms are a little old fashioned but they are spotlessly clean and the staff are incredibly conscientious, helpful, polite and friendly. The food is very good, we had a few excellent evening meals here and though we aren't breakfast people the choice seemed to cater for every taste be it Asian, European or British!

Good location Poor maintenance shower not working properly and bathroom gets flooded when showering

I have been double charged by Expedia for my stay. Your system booked me for the wrong days, which I alerted you and the hotel to immediatekly yet I am double charged. I dont mind to pay 5* prices for a 5* property or experience - but $500/night for a beach hut is gross extortion.
