Villa Romana Hotel & Spa

Just returned from beautiful Villa Romana in Minori. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is so helpful and attentive. Breakfast in the morning is great - something for everyone - eggs, toast, fruit, cereal, yogurt and lots of sweets. The pool area is nice, but you need to make a reservation the day before if you want to use it after 2pm. My only complaint about the pool is the chairs- you're basically sitting on the ground and if you have knee problems, you're not getting up unassisted. The hotel is located two blocks from the ferry, walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The air conditioning is tough. We are American and we like our air conditioning. You get a metal card on your key ring which fits into a slot by your room door. You have to insert this card to make the electricity work in your room. That being said, we took the keys off so we could keep the air on when we were out. It just isn't strong enough. It's preset to go no lower than 28C so your room is always pretty warm. tough to sleep with that. The windows have large shutters over them on the outside so as another reviewer stated - no natural light. Plus I guess the shutters try to keep some heat out. Other than that we recommend it .

Our stay at this hotel was ok. The location is good in the heart of the old town. The pool is good and we would like to commend the lady who runs the pool area - she is super friendly, smiles, and excellent at her job and is the best staff member they have. The breakfast is not up to standard for a hotel of this calibre. The scrambled eggs in particular are powder based - worst eggs we have had during our 4 week hotel trip across any 3 and 4 star hotels. No response to feedback provided on this during our stay. Many of the staff (apart from the poolside lady) are short, rude, and not interested - particularly at breakfast and bar. And the shouting matches in the kitchen during breakfast service are also not great. The rooms themselves were fine.

Rooms were large and clean. Minori, as the name says, it’s very small. So, likely this is the best hotel around, but it needs some service improvements. Overall we enjoyed

Pool had to book and they offered 2 time slots, 10 to 12 or 14 to 18. It looks they close the pool for their siesta too? Staffing was very grumpy, more than the average for Italy. The village was full and there was loads of work for them to do Breakfast is very simple compared to the room rates you pay

This hotel was beautiful. Spacious, clean room. Had a nice balcony with 2 chairs that overlooked the street. The pool area was clean and also beautiful. Poolside bar stops serving food around 2. The private beach is €40 per person to use and there was 3 of us so €120. I did not want to pay that much for the beach so we went to the public beach instead where you can get 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella for €20. The staff was very helpful, they have excursions you can sign up for. Fantastic time and would definitely return.

Great location great price great hotel

Centrally located in Minori. Walk to beaches and many restaurants. Pool was clean and beautiful flowers all around. The room was spacious and very clean.

Excellent hotel in all respects. I would recommend this hotel and certainly stay here again.

Very enjoyable stay, I especially loved the ability to book your sun loungers for morning or afternoon allowing us to go explore in the morning without fear of no pool side benches on our return. The hotel is well located for access to local ferries. Before arriving I asked Roberta if she knew of a good airport transfer company to use - she sorted the transfer leaving us to relax about the airport transfer. Highly recommend.
