The Royal Victoria Hotel

Wonderful stay at The Royal Victoria Hotel. Excellent location in Llanberis to take advantage of the walking trails available in the area. Our room was extremely comfortable. The staff were attentive and helpful. The breakfasts plentiful and nourishing. And the dinners, which we took in the bar area, were delicious. Would highly recommend for visitors to the area.

Staff were brilliant, excellent location. Room a little small without much hanging space and the non-functioning towel heater was an issue. Heating good, no noise at night and o really a nice hotel with a good atmosphere and great views.

Very happy with the room we stayied in. The restaurant & service that evening was faultless. The breakfast was brillant. Very easlit stay again

Well we had no decent night sleep we got woke up till 3 am both nights due to banging and loud guests because of a wedding guests which we was not told about but it’s unacceptable that we was not able to get a decent nights sleep especially on the second night when we had to be up early to travel back so only got 5 hours sleep due to the disturbances

Positives: amazing local scenery, very clean rooms. Negatives: Friendliness and helpfulness of staff was very hit and miss. Bed was very uncomfortable. Although room was fairly warm a lot of cold air was coming in from the window so not very eco friendly when heating is on. Breakfast had a good selection but unfortunately food from hot counter was virtually cold/lukewarm.

I have stayed at the Royal Victoria Hotel on a few previous occasions over the past 15 years. I was really looking forward to returning - and as soon as I walked in I felt good about being back. And I wasn't let down in my expectations- the check in was pleasant and easy and when we got to the room we we were really impressed with the space and mountain view (first time I had tried the 'executive' room option - it was worth it) We dined at the bar restaurant that evening and the food was good, and again the staff very pleasant. Breakfast next day was busy as a coach load of departing guest seemed to be bustling to eat up quickly - but even so, the staff did a good job of keeping everyone happy and served on time. We stayed at breakfast a bit longer and enjoyed a slower breakfast and thought the food was very nice - especially the quality of the bread. We chatted to the staff a bit too - who were all very friendly. In all - I consider that for the very fair price asked for a nights stay, that the hotel provides a really very pleasant experience for staying in the area. Absolutely would plan to return some day.

Surrounding area is perfect and great natural spot. Room was clean but few odd bits which could have been better. Walls were thin but other than that great place, and breakfast.
