Very friendly staff and the breakfast was tasty. Our room was quiet and clean. So much safer that the privately owned condos/apartments that Booking.com offers. Terrible experience with one of those.

It would be great if there were 2 folks working the breakfast station. Having just one seems like skimping on the wrong things. The bed wasn't as comfortable as we would have liked.

A nice option when visiting western. Our room was clean and spacious, there was a great breakfast in the morning, we were close to shops and restaurants, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel and the property were all very good. The room was clean and everything in it worked well except the coffee maker which needs to be replaced. Thankfully, they had a full breakfast in the morning which was good with plenty of coffee, .The only problem we had with our stay was that the hotel is pet friendly, and I would say proud of it. We like pets too especially dogs, however, not the two dogs who stayed in the room just down the hall from us while we were here in Kalamazoo. Actually, I don’t blame the dogs rather it was the owners who were completely inconsiderate and felt it was OK to leave their dogs alone in the room while they went and did whatever for long periods of time. The dogs didn’t like being left alone and did nothing but constantly bark loudly until the owners returned. They also must have wanted to go out and go to the bathroom around 4:30 5 o’clock in the morning or before we wanted to get up, especially having to stay up the night before listening to them till the owners came back apparently. I don’t think the owners wanted to get up either because they took their sweet time to take the dogs out making sure that everybody else was awake too after listening to the dogs bark. And the dogs were not little yappers, which is annoying in itself, but larger dogs with deeper louder barks. I called guest services the evening when we found out about them through the barking they said they were going to do something, but never actually did. It’s very disappointing because this is a really nice hotel, and someplace we would have liked to return to however, unless they change their policy with the dogs that’s probably not gonna happen. And I suggest anybody else considering this location take this information into account before they spend the money And end up with empty pockets and not much sleep. I wonder what the percentage of people to dogs that stay here at this IHG hotel, I think it would be a good idea for them to rethink their policies seeing as how the humans probably pay better than the dogs do, and I’ll bet that the guest ratio between the two is more human than canine.

King size bed was good, but pull out couch was horrible. We ended up sleeping in one bed. Phoned don’t work in room couldn’t call front desk Not the hotel that we thought it would be.

Everything was very clean and updated! The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious! The area around the building felt safe, I was not worried about leaving my car in the lot. I took off one star from the staff - as it took me about a half hour to check in - because he was away from the desk all that time. But he was very accommodating and helpful afterwards.
