Holiday Inn Kansas City Airport by IHG

Friendly guest service manager at check in. The room was extremely welcoming and comfortable. The shuttle driver to the airport was prompt and courteous.

I needed a hotel close to the airport for an early morning flight. This is a wonderful location for what I needed. The room was clean and comfortable.

After a super rough day of traveling, all I wanted was a nice, cozy bed to melt into. You delivered in the best possible way.

Stayed at this hotel as it was where rooms were reserved for a wedding. The bar was the highlight; Liz the bartender was great! Had breakfast one morning and it was the typical continental breakfast but was not complimentary. My room rate included the breakfast but I would not have paid for it. The room was clean”ish”. However, it is definitely time for an update. The sofa bed was just gross and we didn’t even feel comfortable sitting on it much less sleeping on it. There were stains on the cushions and the sofa bed was broken/falling apart. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not cleaned after the first night, only clean towels were provided. Nowhere was it posted that cleaning service was not provided. But worst of all is that the floor/ceilings are paper thin and you can hear every step that is taken by the people in the room above, which unfortunately for us was around 5:30am. Would definitely not stay in this hotel again for that sole reason.

Very friendly staff very clean

Some of the staff was very friendly, but did not follow through on requests like a report of a broken tv remote.

There was no response after promised staff would come to room to check on problem with tv. The room was sub par. The bathroom door had a lot of paint chipped off and it was very sticky - gross. The floors in room and halls/common area around elevator were very dirty. I walked in the room saw the horrible condition of paint on the doors and the lamp shades all tilted - it looked trashy. I expect much better than that from IHG. The shower curtain was about 8-10 inches too long and I was stepping on it while taking a shower. If housekeeping is not going to service the room, guests should be told what to do with trash. The service in the restaurant was bad and even though the bartender/server was very nice, on each night I was there she was running the whole room with no help. There should be a list of hotel amenities/room service menu in the room.

Our stay was generally positive. While the rooms were clean, we noted some areas for improvement, specifically the headboards and refrigerators. The headboards exhibited dust accumulation, and the refrigerators contained hair. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay.

Parking was limited due to event center over took the parking lot
