Holiday Inn Houma by IHG

My stay was amazing, enjoyed the scenery also peace & quiet , clean facility

Good stay. Went as expected.

This is my second visit to the Holiday Inn in Houma. The hotel lobby and rooms were very clean and well maintained. The food wasn’t very great the first time because they were out of just about everything on the menu. This second time, they had everything I ordered and it was all delicious. The crab cakes are enough for an entree and the sauce is very rich. The wings and homemade chips were fantastic. I missed the chance for breakfast as I departed early in the morning but I’ll definitely stay here again!

Good location. Bath tub felt like you were gonna fall through it, needed to be replaced

Pros: good rate, fairly new hotel, nice decor, friendly check in. Cons: bathroom too dark. Free breakfast but no cereal, no oatmeal, no fruit, no muffins. Instead there is a menu, but today no help. Trash overflowing. Long wait for food and coffee. Poor design and management of breakfast room. This is a Holiday Inn not a Holiday Inn Express. What's the diff? Hard to tell, but I guess Inn has a menu breakfast, Express a line breakfast--self serve. In the future I will try for Express and avoid Inn.

The staff are so friendly and helpful

Nice building with fantastic rooms and a nice workout facility. The staff is very attentive. While I was there, the treadmill in the workout room broke and I alerted the front desk staff. By the next morning, it had been fixed and was fully operational. The only complicated matter is how breakfast works. You get a coupon for breakfast in the hotel's (very good) on-site restaurant and order off the breakfast menu, and only get one per room, if I understood correctly. I guess that was part of my confusion, because even as I write this, I'm not clear if it's only one coupon per room or one per registered guest. I do plan to stay at this property again, regardless of how breakfast works. Another thing to note: the prices in the hotel bar are not ridiculous the way they are at so many restaurants. It's pretty close to prevailing market. A good place to stay.

I stayed on the 4th floor this time, and it smelled moldy up there. I also woke up with bad allergies the next morning, (after I left the hotel, I cleared up) indicating to me that there is something foul in the air.

EVERY time I come here I look forward to Ashley!!! She is genuinely a breath of fresh air... doesn’t matter what kind of day... this professional, friendly and genuine “bar tender” (such a title doesn’t do her justice)... she makes every stay away from home feel like I’m at home... wish I could bring her back to Texas... yes the rooms at the Holiday Inn are great the desk staff is amazing... but SHE is the star! Thanks Ash for the peace at the end of the day!

Very clean and the staff are very nice when I come back to Houma I will stay here again
