The Riverside House Hotel

Food was great, staff were friendly/excellent, generally good, nice atmosphere. Lovely building.

Few maintenance issues, mould in shower, no disabled parking marked, needs a tidy up furniture had edges missing, could do with an information booklet in the room.

We had a great trip and really enjoyed our stay at Riverside House Hotel. It’s a cosy hotel with lots of character and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. Special thanks to Julie who made us feel very welcome. There are beautiful walks nearby and plenty of local amenities close by, which made the location perfect. The restaurant is modern and the food was great, definitely a highlight of the stay. We’ll be back again soon and would happily recommend this hotel. Lara & Richard

We had an upgrade through Booking.com, the room was very spacious with a good view over the garden and river. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Unfortunately, we arrived in the dark and left in the dark so couldn't see the local area

The lift

Lovely hotel with a great location in Mildenhall! The food and staff in the dining room were fantastic, super helpful, and friendly! Unfortunately, they hosted a massive private event with a DJ that was so loud the entire floor above was disturbed until Midnight, with no warning. As someone who worked in high-end hotels for years, this should have been addressed in advance, and if they're going to host events that loud, they should require the event holders to rent out the entire floor above to prevent issues for guests. They did offer to move rooms, but at that point it was already 11 pm on the last day of my stay, so by the time I would have collected my things and resettled, the event would have ended. Do not recommend for weekends during the holiday season! Also, the bed, while large, was surprisingly uncomfortable and seemed due for a replacement.

A huge thank you to Jonathan and his team for the most incredible night for our NYE/40th Birthday party! We were made to feel welcome from the off, you all worked so hard to make the night run so smoothly. We will be forever grateful to you. The food was lovely and plentiful, the staff were on hand to help but let us party the night away. If you’re considering having your event here I would highly recommend it. Lots of love to you all and happy new year!

This is a beautiful property and the Christmas decorations were spectacular. We had an executive annexe which was separate from the main hotel. It was quite warm and very comfortable.

I don’t think I could find any fault with the property. You have to accept that it isn’t a modern building but it is full of charm.

Loved the location and the hotel itself had a country manor type feeling. It was decorated already for Christmas which was lovely. Rooms were nice and big.

I found the beds slightly hard and on the small size even though we had ordered an X-Large bed.
