The Riverside House Hotel

Our stay was fabulous! Beautiful hotel nd amazing staff. John was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Food was outstand8ng.

Lovely hotel. Staff are amazing friendly and caring, but not overpowering. Some areas looking tired, however the hotel is undergoing refurbishment. Great location. Food excellent. Overall great value for money. The only reason we didn't rate 5* was the fact that the reservation experience was a bit chaotic.

Breakfast and dinner were delicious with substantial menu choices. All staff were friendly, helpful and made you feel important. Nothing was too much trouble.

Slight issue with bathroom shower and towel rail but this was very promptly resolved by manager Jon Crisp.

Wonderful food, fantastic staff, comfortable rooms, friendly atmosphere.

Recently stayed at the Riverside. It’s a lovely hotel. Overall clean. Decor is lovely throughout. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was well worth the price. Very enjoyable. But what stood out was the staff. Jason on reception/bar was so friendly & chatty. Nothing was too much trouble The same with Laura. The waitress who served us breakfast. I can be picky with food but Laura catered to my whims and was happy to oblige. They were genuinely lovely staff and the Riverside should be proud of the way they are with guests.

Staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely.

Went for valentines afternoon tea and was not disappointed. We were looked after the minute we stepped through the door by the lovely Jake , he made sure we had plenty of tea and coffee and the food was all ok and managed to get me a plain scone !!! Julie was great as always and has a real connection not only with the people that she greets but also with the staff Will certainly visit again Thank you for such a relaxed afternoon x
