Blackberry River Inn

We spent one night and loved the place. It's a beautiful, stately old inn. Our room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Lucas made us feel at home, and cooked a marvelous breakfast. We'd highly recommend.

Lovely 250 year plus inn - originally a private house of a wealthy family. Beautiful building and grounds, hospitable innkeeper. Plan to return.

The room with bathroom was very comfortable and clean. The property was extensive and well maintained. Breakfast choices were extensive and our choices were delicious and cooked by Lucas.

This is a beautiful and charming place. The hosts are very hospitable. This was my best option on a business trip as the usual hotels I use were far from the company I was visiting. All the basics are covered for a pleasant stay. I like to stay in bedrooms with two beds so be aware that the beds are twin size and smaller for bigger people. I did not have any issue with this. Basic housekeeping is done every day. And the place was clean. The breakfast option is very good. There is a book library in the main house and the living room there is an ideal place for a cup of tea and sitting down for some reading. You can prep your tea and coffee because they have a tea station there. I suggest you take the time to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere there. Ladybugs might pop in your room and they did in mine but it is another charming aspect to the place. I highly recommend this homey and charming place. Comfortable and kind to travelers. My rating is excellent/ good for the type of accommodation ( not a five star hotel) but an absolute charming place with a feeling of being in your grandma’s house. I must add the temperature in my room was good for me( I don’t like cold, wet rooms). They do not have cable in their TV but DVR and ai actually watch a movie there. I did not check if they have more DVR available to watch. Again, lovely place with everything in place for nice stay.

Excellent staff, very attentive! The beds were very comfortable, showers had great pressure and good hot water. Breakfast was fantastic and I would definitely stay there again if I’m in the area again! We saw a concert in town at Infinity Hall, a real treasure of a venue, plus we hiked to the top of Haystack Mountain (state park) and enjoyed the beautiful 360 views from atop the tower built on its peak. Also, we hiked to Campbell Falls state park. The concert hall and the two hikes I consider “must do’s” if you’re in the area! There’s probably a lot more attractions in the vicinity, but we were only in the area for 24 hours, so we packed in what we could!

Have stayed here before and each time had a wonderful experience. The staff was also extremely helpful and the accommodations were impeccable. The breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Very cute inn with amazing breakfast!

The inn is very beautiful, we loved the size of the suite. Breakfast was delicious and the staff are so welcoming and kind. We were unable to use the bathtub because the hot water was not fully coming out, if I waited for it to fill the tub it would have taken a very long time and probably would have been cold by then. The shower doesn’t get too hot either. Still a wonderful place, just could fix those small things in M2 suite. Lovely grounds, great location. Nice surprise that they had a smart tv and access to Netflix. Tea was delightful. Thank you!
