Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites

Stayed here for a week for a relaxing holiday. Absolutely fabulous stay. Great facilities, clean well appointed rooms with sea views. Stunning location. Really friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent, with Greek and Italian a la carte available too. Beach area as well. Easy access to Kos Old town with bus stop outside the hotel. Highly recommend.

We had a beach front bungalow which was lovely, to have the sunbeds outside our room was fantastic. The beach is very rocky and not easy to get into and out of the sea. We were all inclusive and I have to say the food wasn’t good at all. Each night was the same food and was always lukewarm not as a 4/5* at all, on the whole very disappointing to say the least. The hotel itself is nice but not amazing. The staff were lovely especially Lily who served at the main bar each evening. A nice hotel but not for the rating it has.

We have just returned from a fabulous 10 day stay in a beachfront bungalow. The bungalow was just feet from the beach with our own sunbeds, which we used most days. The views of the sea, sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. It was also some of the best nights sleep we've had on a holiday, with very little noise and a very comfortable bed and pillows. On the whole, the service was great and the staff couldn't do enough for you. However, it did feel on a couple of occasions, that unless you were sat outside in the main restaurant, you were forgotten about; on a couple of occasions, drinks were not offered, we had to ask, and plates not cleared quite as quickly. The drinks service in the evening however, whilst watching the entertainment, was always extremely good. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the cleanliness of the resort was spot on. The majority of the food was nice but could have been hotter and more variety would be preferable; after a week it felt a bit repetative. Having said that, the food (particularly the meat) was always tasty and cooked well. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the resort and it represented great value. Definitely recommend.

We had a pleasant stay here. Room was very beautiful, all in white. The different restaurants in the vecinity uphold everything your heart desires. A chilled swimming pool but also direct access to the beach gave us everything we needed. A special thank you to our dear George who has taken care of us for our entire stay making sure everything was perfect!

Well what can I say we are a well traveled couple and this has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in ! From the moment you get arrive you relax ! The place is beautiful and the service from everyone is just first class ! And always with a smile ! Will be back for deffo well done

I have been coming for many years to Dimitra and I can honestly say this probably was the best visit I have had, everything from the staff, to the room, the food and the entertainment was out of this world. After last years visit it was very obvious that the hotel was lacking something that it previously hadn’t and that was the manager who came back this year and also Giorgos, who is just first class. I also want to give a special thank you to Lili, Alex and George at the main bar, Ronaldo in the restaurant and George on reception at night, everyone of these people really did look after me and make an impression on all the guests. Fingers crossed I can go back next year.

We recently stayed at this TOP Hotel and overall had a brilliant experience—definitely a place we would return to. Although it’s officially a 5-star property, we would personally rate it 4.5 stars, mainly because of the food temperature, but everything else was outstanding. The hotel itself is clean, bright, and beautifully maintained. Every member of staff is welcoming—you’ll notice they always greet you with a smile before you even get a chance to say good morning. The location is slightly out of the way, so there aren’t tavernas or shops nearby, but there is a small shop on site, and the bus to Kos Town (15 min journey) only costs €2 with a timetable available at reception. Our room in the main building was very comfortable (503) and thankfully had a lift because I struggle sometimes due to my breathing The Rooms are well equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, kettle, coffee machine, tea and coffee, plus robes, slippers, and fresh beach towels on arrival but you need to change them daily from the poolside bar. Water is provided each day, and the housekeeping team keeps everything spotless—bedding can even be changed more frequently on request. The hotel has three pools, plenty of comfortable sunbeds, and a fair system that prevents reserving (with fines for doing so). The pool attendant (a hardworking and friendly gentleman from the Philippines) was excellent—always cheerful, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and proper chlorine checks. There are poolside bars with friendly staff, and drinks are served in cups you can take back to your lounger. The beach is stony, so beach shoes are recommended, but there are lots of sunbeds available there too. The area can be quite windy, so pack some clips for your towels! Entertainment starts at 9pm until around 10:30 pm, and details are displayed at dinner. Dining includes three restaurants: a Greek restaurant by the pool (also serving breakfast), a larger buffet in the main building with a wider variety, and an à la carte Italian (which we found a little disappointing). While the food tasted good, it was often not hot enough—if the heating elements were upgraded, this hotel would absolutely deserve its full 5 stars. What really makes the stay memorable is the staff. Special thanks to George (who seemed to be everywhere—restaurants, entertainment, and bar service—always full of energy and fun), Alexander and Emily at reception (who went above and beyond when we had a problem), Sylvia in the Turkish restaurant, and Lili and her colleagues who remembered our favorite drinks and always served us with a smile. On our last day, the owner of the hotel was chatting outside with another colleague and he asked us about our stay whilst we were talking George appeared with two bottles water for the journey, which was such a thoughtful touch. We truly felt cared for throughout our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. We will definitely be back
