Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites

Raw chicken today . No water in room two days running. Room very tired and washroom has ants. The restaurant tonite was chaotic. No tables laid and no one serving drinks . Took 40 mins to get a drink.

Wir haben uns im Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage, direkt mit Blick auf das Meer. Allgemein ist die Außenanlage gepflegt und überzeugt mit ihrem griechischen Charme. Toll war auch der direkte Zugang vom Hotel zum Strand. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat sich um jedes Anliegen gekümmert.

Hier würden wir es eher „Dinge, die wir gerne vorher gewusst hätten“ nennen. „Nicht gefallen“ trifft nämlich nicht zu! - Es stehen zwar Schilder, dass man vor 9 Uhr keine Liegen reservieren darf und das Personal darauf achtet - halten tut sich daran nur leider kaum jemand. Daher heißt es schnell sein, wenn man einen Platz am Pool haben möchte. - Teilweise hat es bei uns im Badezimmer sehr stark nach Abfluss gerochen. Das war etwas unangenehm. Dazu befand sich das Waschbecken außerhalb vom Badezimmer- stört nicht groß, ist im ersten Moment aber etwas ungewöhnlich. - Als Vegetarier hat man es etwas schwer beim Abendessen, wenn man nicht nur von Salat oder Beilagen leben möchte. Leider war die fleischlose Alternative jeden Tag Pizza, Pommes, Nudeln oder Reis. Das war etwas schade, bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel.

Overall, this is a nice hotel in a beautiful setting, but it’s definitely not a 5‑star experience. The staff are fabulous — genuinely friendly, helpful, and a real credit to the hotel. They were the highlight of our stay. We were given rooms at the very top of the resort. Great if you’re aiming for 10k steps a day, but not quite the workout you expect on holiday. The rooms themselves have everything you need and are clean. Drinks are great — good choice, cocktails freshly made, and the bar staff are brilliant. The food, however, was a major let‑down. • Day 1: My daughter cut into her chicken at the buffet and it was raw in the middle. • Many dishes weren’t labelled, so half the time you had no idea what you were choosing. • Day 2: I stuck to salad because nothing else looked appealing, only to find a slug crawling off my plate after I had taken a couple of bites. That was the point where we had no choice but to eat out, because we simply couldn’t trust the food. The hotel has limited restaurant options close by so it meant we had to go to Kos old town every night - not quite the expense you envision when you book an all inclusive. The snack bar options are very poor and the Italian restaurant you have to book was well below average. The two dishes we were interested in - the beef and the salmon - both off the menu. You don’t get a wine list to choose from either - just red, white or rose - none tasted very pleasant. You also sit outside, which was chilly in the evenings. On a positive note, the entertainment was good most nights, although it was outside and very chilly. Maybe they could invest in some warm blankets in the chilly nights. In summary: lovely staff, great drinks, beautiful views — but the food and room quality really let the hotel down. Not the 5‑star experience advertised.

The hotel is located in a beautiful location, the rooms are cleaned daily, the staff is very friendly, and the general manager, George, is very friendly and committed to his guests. A place and a team worth returning to. Jasmina, Lidia, Mateusz.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful all-inclusive stay and overall had a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is in a stunning, quiet location with beautiful views over the beach. Sitting on the balcony or relaxing by the pool listening to the waves was incredibly peaceful and exactly what we wanted for a relaxing holiday. The rooms were lovely — very clean, modern, and with some of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in while away. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning every day. The only small negatives were that there was no shaver/toothbrush socket in the room and the hotel was quite stingy with the tea and coffee supplies, only leaving one milk each per day. The staff were all genuinely friendly and hardworking, but a special mention has to go to Joy in the Main Terrace Bar and the girls working in the Cucina pool/bar area — they were absolutely brilliant and made our stay even more enjoyable. The cocktails were excellent and clearly made fresh to order rather than from pre-mixed syrups. The Margaritas, Piña Coladas, and Hugo Spritz were especially amazing. The pool area was one of the highlights for us. The sunbeds were the most comfortable we’ve ever used, with thick cushions that made it easy to relax for hours. We also loved that the kids’ pool was far enough away from the main pool to keep the atmosphere peaceful without excluding families. The waitress service around the pool and terrace bar was another nice touch. Food was very good overall, with plenty of choice and themed evenings that kept things interesting. Everything was well cooked and there was a fantastic selection available, although some dishes could have been hotter at times. Entertainment was what you’d typically expect from a holiday resort, but there was something different every evening which we appreciated. Kos Town is around a 20-minute drive away, and the hotel shuttle service was convenient at €20 each way. There were only a couple of areas where the hotel could improve. Hot water in the main hotel seemed to become unavailable after around 5pm, so if you wanted a properly hot shower it was best to shower earlier in the afternoon. Also, during busy restaurant times, drinks service could be a little slow, so a small self-service drinks station would make a big difference. Overall though, we had a really relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would happily return.

Excellent hotel, Great facilities. Feel like this was an adult only hotel That now is trying to attract more families.. There are several pools Cold water so We couldn't use the pool much There are ants everywhere which is off-putting. Friendly staff, great room size. Amazing sea view Access to the beach Black sand so not good for kids / beach toys. There is an adult only area With beds but no kids allowed. There are plenty of bars around for drinks Food is very good! Plenty of choices. Main restaurants in the hotel And another next to the pool Called the Greek. Similar food as the main one with an exception to some Greek dishes. You get an additional restaurant visit to the Italian restaurant but some main dishes were missing which was pretty disappointing. The snack bar is only the Italian With very limited choices and is far from the two pools to the right of the hotel. There are a lot of stairs, but there are shuttles available No water slides for the kids but There are two kids areas- Playground and small pool which are very good if the water was warm..... You can use the pool in the sister hotel but not the bar or the restaurant which is again disappointing... We didn't try the kids disco ect as it was too early for us. They provide a coffee machine in the room and tea. The evening entertainment was alright .. Live music every night There is a bar area, again adults only There were a few smokers in the hotel And people were smoking everywhere In the pool area Nothing like a fresh breeze of cigarettes smoke in your face 🤢 We had to move sunbeds because of it The hotel should ban smoking in certain areas and not encourage it by placing ashtrays. We went to the old town with the local bus Only fifteen minutes away The bus gets busy though Overall we had a lovely time here Good value for money.

My friend and I had a lovely 4 night stay at the resort. The amenities are well spread out, with 3 restaurants, pools, adult only lounges for those traveling without kids and many other amenities. Great evening entertainment, and good options for trips outside the resort if staying longer. Easy access to the beach was the biggest highlight. Special thank you to all staff for being so welcoming and accommodating, especially the two George’s (Giorgos) - the night auditor for the welcoming check in and the service manager for looking after us so well throughout the stay. Only suggestion would be having a few move vegan options like hummus, falafel etc but still plenty to choose from :) Big thank you, Julia and Aneta

Just stayed here for a week , can’t fault anything staff are amazing so welcoming and there for anything you need George is always on hand checking everyone is ok . It’s a very family friendly hotel but there are adults only areas too .There are 3 pools a private beach , you can also use the hotel next door too if you wish.It is about 15-20 minutes to Kos town we paid 20 euros . We got a taxi back from the taxi stand at the harbour 17 euro . Apparently there is a bus that stops outside the hotel for 2 euros but it wasn’t running when we were there , maybe it only runs at peak times.

We had a fantastic stay at Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites. The resort is beautiful, spotless, and perfectly relaxing, with nice food and lovely facilities. A special mention goes to Manager George, whose friendly, warm, and incredibly helpful demeanour made our visit even better. He checked in with us throughout our stay and genuinely cared that everything was perfect. A gorgeous hotel with exceptional service. We’d happily return.

Fantastic location, the rooms were perfect and the food was very good. George and his team the hotel, are a credit to the resort. Very friendly and helpful.
