Taj Kumarakom Resort and Spa Kerala

We were here for New Years eve and the whole experience was magical. Beautifully decorated property for New Year. Mr. Ajay ensured that kids were well engaged and staff was very helpful during our stay. Food spread was nice.

Was a bit too pricey for New Years eve. Could have better maintained greenery like Taj Kovalam.

The Taj groupe once more has made it ! We had a wonderful time in a wonderful heritage room (18). The Taj has the capacity of pleasing any demanding client with the quality of the staff. We specifically thank Priya at the reception for her professional attitude towards all our demands. The very elegant hotel manager was very nice too. The hotel certainly deserves a 9+ on the Booking rating and I think the underrating is du to a misunderstanding of the Taj philosophy. Oldy but goody, very goody. I think the charm of such a hotel is more about the tradition they perpetuate, more than the equipment in general.

Not a complete fan of the swimming pool area. I could handle a complete renovation.

What really works here is the location and the staff. It's perfect for disconnecting from a hectic world for a few days. The lake and the cottages that face it are perfect for some down time. The staff are very courteous and extremely helpful. They tried to accommodate requests as much as possible and were nice about it. Upon reading before booking the place I came across comments that the cottages at old and dated etc. They are old, but I thought that some ways that adds to the charm of my stay.

The only drawback I can think about Taj Kumarakom is the restaurant. Breakfast buffet is good, but could be much better. There is no buffets other than for breakfast. I found the food a bit bland and it could definitely be improved without too much effort. That's something the management has to pay some attention to urgently, in my opinion.

Rooms and facilities were tired and worn with several things in our room either broken or not working properly

Éviter le « fried rice sae food », non seulement, il a mis 40 minutes à être servi, mais il était plus que moyen. J’ai mangé des dizaines de riz depuis le début de mon séjour, bien meilleur pour deux fois moins cher.

Le personnel est adorable. Les 2 restaurants sont assez bons. Un grand parc menant au lac permet une jolie marche pour le tea time!

Odeur d’eaux usées sur le chemin de la chambre, pas de peignoirs, pas de lait pour le corps et surtout un énorme bruit lorsque l’on allume la lumière de la salle de bains ( des veilles ventilation très très bruyantes). Il faut attendre plus de 20 mn pour avoir un jus d’orange à chaque petit déjeuner…
