The property is simply mind blowing! It’s truly paradise on earth. Staff is excellent. Food delicious. Service is 100% heart! Keep it up.

The property adjacent to the Vembanard lake with cottages facing the lagoon is the usp and breathtakingly beautiful. Everything is old world, like right out of fairy tale experience. The property is not large with just 28 cottages and no wonder it’s like never available so we were fortunate to be part of this experience even though we were there for just a night.

There is nothing not to like. But be mindful, it’s for the relaxers but more than a night or more, it can be a but drag. But that’s not a criticism for the property. That’s the backwaters for you. After all how much boating can you do and how much quiet and stillness of the nature can you sink in for. We were there with a 7 year old so there’s limited room for activities (there was cycling and a zip line) but that’s done in a couple of minutes. Some dance performance in the evening. There is a huge room for improvement as far as food spread goes. With only two restaurants, one for sea food and the other Murli-cuisine, there wasn’t any variety. Breakfast spread was less than satisfactory and quite a disappointment for the Taj Brand. So please look into it. It needs to be of international standards given guests are from all over the world and from the country’s and the food experience can’t be limited to Kerala style alone.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Taj Kumarakom : a perfect blend of nature, heritage and hospitality. The serene backwaters, lush greenery and attentive staff made our get together unforgettable. Grateful for the peaceful moments and beautiful memories. A big shout out to the breakfast team - your cheerful smiles, impeccable service, delicious spread made every morning a pleasure. A special thanks to the magician who brought joy with his delightful tricks. Gratitude to Vishnu, pool attendant, for being so attentive and thoughtful always ensuring we were comfortable and well looked after.

Food. Not much choices. Not up to the taste. Also a few villas including ours don’t have buggy connectivity in the last leg. During monsoon it’s very inconvenient. I actually slipped and fell
