Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana - All Inclusive

We booked this resort because it looked beautiful, and to be fair, the property and our Preferred room with a jacuzzi were okay. Everything was nude and brown, everything traditional and old. Unfortunately, the service did not match the experience we were sold. Dreams is connected to Secrets, and many guests were able to visit and enjoy the adults-only side. Our butler repeatedly told us we were not allowed to go there, calling it a “political thing.” We later found out from other guests who had the same butler that he had made dinner reservations at Secrets for them, but refused to do the same for us. And then …. we later learned there were VIP benefits included with our stay, such as spa and casino credits, that were never explained to us. Had we not heard about them from other guests, we would have never known they existed. I honestly did not understand the value of booking Preferred. The Preferred side was always empty, and aside from the Preferred lounge at check-in, which was the only place with higher-end alcohol, there seemed to be very few meaningful benefits. There was one additional Preferred bar near the beach, but beyond that, everything felt the same as the standard experience. Not to mention there is construction on the property, so you’ll be hearing a lot of noise throughout the day. I also felt sick almost every night after eating at the resort. The hotel transportation service was poorly organized as well. They wanted to pick me up at 7:50 a.m. for an 11:47 a.m. flight, which was unreasonable, so I ended up taking an Uber instead. Overall. It was an ok experience. I won’t be going back

This property is beautiful, and the staff is outstanding. Kudos to Wilken, our pool server. He was energetic and a joy. The food was ample, but average. Rooms were large and very clean.

One of the best all inclusive hotels we’ve stayed at. We loved the staff and the property is gorgeous. The mangrove sanctuary was so fun to walk through everyday seeing so many different types of wildlife. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Dreams Royal Beach. Our rooms were incredibly comfortable, and the food options throughout the resort were great. I was especially impressed by how clean the beach was—they do a fantastic job with seaweed management and cleanup, which made a huge difference. ​While there are plenty of beach vendors around, they are not pushy at all. They are incredibly friendly, even if you choose not to purchase anything from them. The entire staff was amazing from start to finish. ​Tip: I would highly recommend upgrading to the Preferred Club. If you are like me and prefer a more relaxing, less busy environment, the upgrade options and exclusive access areas are absolutely worth it. Would definitely recommend this resort!

We stayed as a family of 5 this June, two swim up rooms in the 5000 buildings preferred. Rooms were nice, pools were very nice. Lots of shade around the pool area which we really liked. Waterpark was great, we usually went right after breakfast to miss some of the crowds. The beach was very nice and clean, no sargassum during out trip. Vendors on the beach were a little much at times. Food and restaurants were hit and miss, buffet food was not much to speak on on quality and variety. Portofinos was great every time we went, the pizza and burgers out side there were really good as well. Could not get into Tres Colores on two separate occasions, we never quite figured out how they were so backed up so early in the night. Tepanyaki was just ok, no show, no real variety to the food, it was much better to eat off the menu in Fusion. Our rooms were close to the main preferred pool/party pool. Music started at 10 am and went until I guess 6 pm, it was ok but at times it really gets annoyingly loud. We went to the preferred new section multiple times just to swim and not listen to loud music. Our Butler Michael did a good job of helping out where he could. Arranging a few things and just checking in on us. All of the other butlers we saw around the resort seemed really friendly and wanted to help out. Bar staff everywhere was good - great, the best was Giersley, I hope I got that right at the bar next to Blue Dorado bar, always super friendly and made the best banana mama at the resort. Ismael one of the waiters was great, we ran into him a couple of times, unfortunately he had 3 days off at the end of our trip. If you see a guy practicing his jump shot that is him. Beach service in the preferred section seemed really bad unless you had a cabana which we did one day. It was much easier to walk up to the pool bar than to wait or try and track someone down. Boardwalk through the mangroves to the new section was really fun for our kids, turtles, fish, birds and iguanas. Overall we enjoyed the trip immensely, it would definitely be on our short list of places to return.

Dreams royal was a fantastic hotel the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble.

All of the staff were super friendly they get 5 stars across the boards, especially Sammy in the preferred lounge, and Luiz and Rayphin at the Blue Durango and finally Lady at the Secrets pool near Oceana (try the Lady special drink). Food was fine about what we expected, I would have loved for there to be a Dominican restaurant on site that offered authentic Dominican food. Most of the sit down restaurants are only open for dinner and the buffet didn’t open for lunch until 12:30, which is the tail end of lunch after a 7am breakfast.

We spent week of 06/01-06/08 At dreams Royal beach and were disappointed with overall experience. First of all we were not told that resort is under reconstruction so rooms are limited, we were promised deluxe tropical view, got deluxe service road view with high traffic trucks, employees on foot whole day and part of night ! We were at building 5. Furniture is very outdated, jacuzzi tab on balcony had some stains so we didn't want to use it. Even as preferred club members we were denied access to other side of property. Now on positive side employees are excellent regardless of position everyone is ready to help ! Because of them I would rated this experience 10+ , what ever you ask they do their best to help even when they don't understand English (what is in most of the cases). We were assigned personal consierge who was there day and night, what ever we needed he would fulfil that ! His name is BillySano just for record, that guy made our stay comfortable as much as he could !!! Thank you Billy !!!

This was such a fun and relaxing week for the whole family. The resort was filled with activities for all ages - a water park for the family, multiple pools, entertainment, and a stunning white sand beach with shade and loungers. The endless food and drinks were delicious, and the staff were friendly. There was also specialty dining, and my 6-year-old son loved the Explorers Club, which was specifically for his age group.
