The Downtown Hotel

Too many steps to climb with luggages. After returning from my event there where vagrants in the lobby. Towels were line dry which is a sanitary concern. Wash clothes we were not provided, when I requested they were given to me damp from the line.

Good security. Central loxation for food, entertainment and a wonderful cultural experience. Not for the faint of heart. Popular eco-attractions near by. Very friendly people.

We enjoyed St Lucia and Soufriere, the view of the Piton's was fantastic. The scuba diving was great and the excursions that we took part in were very well worth visiting. We also enjoyed the restaurants that we went to, the food was excellent. The only draw back was the bathroom had a peculiar odor, but we were able to tolerate it.

The hotel itself is fine, especially for the price, the neighborhood is very pooe. Also, everyone knows you are a tourist, so be prepared to stand out and for people to remember you. Good hotel for a quick stay but nothing fancy.

Terrible. The AC in my room did not work (it only blew hot air in any setting), and the room had bed bugs!!! The location is great and the room looked clean at first glance, but I woke up in the morning covered in bites (more bites started appearing throughout the next day), which I later confirmed upon my return to the U.S. after doing online research and verifying with a doctor that they were clearly bed bug bites. I had to throw out my suitcase and dry clean ALL my clothes, which cost a lot of money. Absolute nightmare. I highly recommend hotel staff to inspect Room #6 and all other rooms, it definitely has bed bugs. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!!

It was a relaxing stay. Food place right underneath. Food was really good. Had a great time. Location is pretty good as well. Will suggestion this place if you are just passing by.

Relatively cheap. I had a deluxe bedroom facing the city. Taking in the view from the balcony was nice -- The city and the old church with mountains in the back drop. Don't expect too much from the actual room (#2). A mini fridge, bathroom, tv, A\C. There were two beds. One was a double, the other a king. The box spring on the double was broken. I almost fell off when I say down on it! I wasn't expecting much, and wasn't disappointed; It was just a place with a roof over my head.

Friendly staff. Limited accommodation. No contenintal breakfast offered. Staff tries hard to please guest. Nice balcony, nice building.

A great spot if you want to stay away from the big resorts. Locally-owned, too! Never had a problem with security, staff was friendly and helpful but respected our privacy. Definitely worth shelling out a little more for the seaside view. Lots of local restaurants and bars within walking distance, only a 10-minute walk to the town beach (no crowding, just a couple tourists using it), plus lots of fisherman with boats ready to negotiate a good price for a water-taxi tour of the local sites. Also easy to meet guides for climbing the Piton(s).

This is a budget friendly hotel in the city centre. It is more like a luxury hostel not a beach resort. It is near a great waterside cafe called Petite Peak. I was able to lock up valuables in the office safe and the WIFI worked well. The female receptionist was very friendly and helpful. This is an economical choice as other hotels in the area are luxury and very expensive. Not far from the Mud Baths and the Pitons view is excellent.
