Residence Inn Columbus Downtown

Incredibly comfortable hotel and room for our family of 4, right in the heart of the city yet super easy to reach right off the highway and simple to park nearby. The staff were extremely hospitable and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. You can’t beat Residence Inn for separated rooms between kids and parents - really makes a difference! We will definitely be back.

I am originally from Columbus and have been back to visit family & friends over the years. My first stay at the Residence Inn, Downtown Cbus on Gay St, when my father became very ill and was hospitalized. Hotel was chosen due to close vicinity to the hospital. Although I frequent Marriot properties, this was my first stay at this location. This was when I first met Bev. She was so accommodating and compassionate, that the Residence in Cbus has been my residence of choice when traveling to Cbus over the last 6 years. I have found the hotel to be clean, safe & staff extremely helpful friendly & accommodating, from valet, to housekeeping to reception, & restaurant. I appreciate the exceptional goal of staff to be polite and who seem to take the extra personal effort to accommodate their guests. I would like to thank Beverly for her compassion from my first stay to the entire team for always making me feel welcome and personalize our interactions. I'd like you to know that what you do every day may not be acknowledged or verbalized by your guests in an immediately, but words left unspoken do not mean that the sentiment does not exist. I can assure you, that those you come in contact with and have shared your thoughtfulness, compassion and kindness is recognized. It comes across to your guests that you care and take personal interest. This is something that is not always innate but can be taught and separates you and your staff from others in the hospitality industry. I want you to know that what you do and say matters and makes a difference in people's lives. I want you to know that I've recognized your excellence over the years and that I appreciate what you have done for me and how you have made me feel, I am sure my sentiment is shared and felt by others that you each and connect with every day but may not get the feedback. My family traveled to Columbus Oh on Christmas Day—with my elderly mom and a deaf dog it was a sight comparable to the Griswold’s. I must say the hotel staff was fantastic-prior to our stay incalled to ask some questions and Tamera handled my call and was very helpful. John checked us in and again gave excellent service and made sure our rooms wear next to each other and perfect. Over our 5 day stay we had several occasions to interact with hotel staff and they were all wonderful.

My fiancé and I stayed for New Year’s Eve. They need updating. The wall paper is peeling, the bathroom had no heat and smelled of marijuana. The bed sheets had a small stain on them. On a good note, the Bourbon Bar was nice and the hotel also charged my Tesla. Overall I would give them a 7.5. Definitely not an 8.8 which is what the rating was on Hotels.com.

Close to our venue Kitchen was a nice touch. Shower was good. Front desk personnel were beyond professional. Valet staff were super. Great place to stay

Spacious two bedroom apartment worked well for my family. We loved the beautiful bar in the lobby!

The area was quiet during the day but not too far from the arena.

Residence Inn is always our favorite place to stay when traveling. This location in Columbus was certainly a wonderful visit. From the service, from staff like John, the comfortable accommodations, to great location, all around a wonderful time! John’s warmth and reception made our Christmas perfect!

Clean room staff was very nice and professional. I will be staying there again as my first choice. 10/10
