Kia Lodge

No internet was working in the first room we checked into. Had to room move, Good staff recovery.

The worst experience I ever had in a lodge. We prepaid 215$ for 2 people to stay our last night in Tanzania. Upon arrival they wanted us to pay an extra 73$ for the 2 bedroom I already paid for because my father was with me. This place is not worth 50$ a night. The AC was broken, wifi worked for about 10 minutes, the food was awful and we were treated so rudely. So rude in fact we could not stand another minute so we left and stayed at the airport for 14 hours waiting for our flight instead of staying at Kia lodge. After over a month of great lodges all over Tanzania we ended on such a horrible note at this lodge.

Everything was excellent. Great service and feel secure. Very close to the airport. Great food at the restaurant.

Staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was exceptionally clean. The only issue was the WIFI Was difficult to connect to, except in the restaurant

Although we emailed the resort through expedia for shuttle pick up and gave our arrival details that were confirmed, there was no shuttle when we arrived. The telephone number to the resort does not work. The room was very basic. The air conditioning was not working properly. The room was very hot. The fan and the phone did not work. The electricity was going on and off. The beds are hard as a rock and the pillows terrible. The only good thing was the staff who were very friendly.

Nice property but lacks the level of service for the price they charge

Picked this hotel for its proximity to Kilimanjaro International airport. The hotel was fantastic for an airport hotel. Service was excellent , the staff couldn’t do enough to help. The rooms are also very comfortable and the hotels facilities and views of Mt Kilimanjaro are a real bonus. Definitely recommend if you need to be close to Tye airport for an early flight!

I was only here for a few hours between flights. The staff made my short time there very comfortable and insured my transfers to and from the airport were seamless.
