Mahaweli Reach Hotel

It's luxury hotel, good facilities, nice snooker table, bar, pool

Too many personal, if you want to call a taxi you have to be sure that a right person get it Otherwise "junior " staff will forget about it It's ,relatively, far from city center

It's a beautiful hotel with lots of character and the bar / dining area is lovely but the rooms are tired

The hotel is as beautiful as on the pictures. A paradise away from the loud streets of Kandy. The garden is beautiful, the pool is enormous, everything is meticulously maintained and clean. I got a very spacious room overlooking the river, tastefully decorated. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast and dinner buffets were incredible. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.

When I Booked on Booking.com,the description did not match the actual room I received upon checking in instead of a pleasant viwe.I saw unattractive roofs tops everywhere .I urge you to provide accurate descriptions. My time and money were wasted and I will never go back to Mahaweli Reach Hotel .The Entrance was very dark and although the staff was friendly ,they were Powerless to Help..please provide accurate information and pictures on the website .

The room is large and clean. The staff at the hotel are respectful. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent with a large variety to suit everyone. The hotel's design, landscape, and scenery are wonderful. It is close enough to major sites (10 minutes by car).

Check in was a bit slow, noting that we had kids with us. The rooms and toilets need refurbishment as they are old. The water flow is not good in the shower.

It was an excellent breakfast.

I liked the hotel pool and the beds were comfy. The food and bar was nice too! That’s all I can say read below for the bad.

The staff were super rude and mis leading. The hotel is far from a 5 star hotel and made our stay extremely stressful the rooms more dated than the pictures. We ordered 4 simple meals and the service was terrible! Forgetting meals and then bringing them out after everyone else had eaten and getting the bill completely wrong 3 times. Ask numerous times where the food was and for water then nothing. the reception on check in told us breakfast was included and the table will be ready in the morning . After eating a very simple breakfast we were rushing to check out then they brought a bill over for £80 for breakfast. The staff had zero communication and made us pay after being told it was free the previous day. We were nearly late for our taxi and would not recommend staying to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday. Overpriced for the service you receive. I have filed a complaint

Overall good hotel at banks of river Mahawelli. Staff is good. They try to take care of you. A boat ride was arranged in river, which was good.

Food options need to improve. Sometimes it take very long to get food if you prefer al-carte option instead going for buffet.
