Mahaweli Reach Hotel

Was the most bad experience among all my hotels in Sirilanka First this the check in took more than 20 minutes, not sure what they were doing. Second thing the bed was full of warm and after I informed them they changed my room to a downgraded room which i didn’t accept and i asked to refund so i will go to another hotel then they gave me another big room. The staff informed me that my booking includes dinner and I was surprised that they charged me for the dinner buffet bill.

Night time view good and lot of effort to control mosquitoes , bath room got lot of amenities and really good. Front desk staff is trying to do their best. Very young people at front desk super helpful and nice.

Banquet manager at restaurant bit rude and not helpful. He reserve the desks for his favorite people and other’s get less opportunities. Looks like no body likes him. Upper floor ac not working. Looks like whole system broken. If you need a hotel with good ac, this is not the place. Room generators cannot go below 24. They gave the second room but still not great with AC. Buffet is not great experience due to large bus crowds , outsiders and day visitors. Looks like staff very stressful and. No deciplene with outsiders. Looks one of lady out her hand in to a curry and taste it. Very low quality standard within restaurant.

Close to city and reception staff excellent.Willing to the help all location and very nice young people.

Banquet manager at restaurant but rude and not customer focused

A beautiful hotel with a real air of yesteryear grandeur. The staff were attentive and helpful, whilst coping with many guests travelling during their New Year festival period some who were quite vocal on ‘ how things should be done’. The patience of the staff far exceeded that of mine for which they should be commended. If you want modern slick glamour probably neither the place or hotel for you. For me offer great value for money was beautiful, clean and the staff were superb.

What i didn't like was in the booking they said a boat ride is available at the hotel and when we asked about it the boats were broken. And even the TV that was in the room didn't work. We notified it to the staff to get it fixed, but couldn't. Anything else was okay. I was kinda happy about the decision i made to book this hotel for my parents' stay a couple of days ago, but i don't think i would recommend it to anyone again.
