No gym

Pool was fantastic, food great, room was excellent and good value. It is our 5th or 6th time here. Staff amazing except for one person who is over zealous about firing the catapult at monkeys. I understand the need to keep Macaques away from the dining and rooms, but it didn't seem necessary to do it to the langur monkeys. All other staff amazing. The virtual reality and night safari was amazing as was the spa. Chef very accommodating. Especially when organising along with our butler a special meal that wasn't on the menu.

Would be great to have a gym.

Everything was great - the villas were big and spacious, the beds were comfy. The hotel itself is very well looked after, with a great swimming pool, and very relaxing green environment. The breakfast buffet was a feast of delicious food from Sri Lankan to continental food. The team were very kind and helpful. The lake resovoir was nearby, so we had beautiful views of the green and mountains

The a la carte dinner needs a bit more improvement, but most people at the hotel opt for the dinner buffet, which is tasty and is good value for money.

The location was great. Welcoming was poor. They couldn’t cater according to the capacity.

Rooms were not arranged even though we informed the check in time in advance. Check in time was 2pm and we were not given the room until 3 pm. They have cleaned it in a hurry and the room had a bad smell

The setting and location is absolutely beautiful and walking distance to local eateries. We saw so much wildlife around the grounds - wild peacocks, lots of monkeys (who leave you alone if you ignore them), large water monitors, cows, tortoise, eagles, frogs, squirrels. The pool area was lovely with plenty of beds and pool attendant to bring fresh towels. Excellent buffet breakfast and very friendly staff. Fantastic location which is only 5-10 minutes drive to Huluru national park and 20 mins drive to Sigiriya Rock.

We booked for 3 people (2 adults and 1 child). At the time of booking I messaged the hotel to request an extra bed for our daughter, I also reiterated this in person at check in and they confirmed both times. However, when we got to the room there was no extra bed and towels for only 2 people. This was quickly rectified following a phone call to reception but it was a slight lack of attention to detail by staff. We had an ant issue in our bathroom which we asked staff to deal with on several occasions but after a few attempts the ants were still there. We asked if we could have a spray so that we could spray them ourselves as we used the last of our mosquito repellent spray trying to get rid of them but they did not provide any. The bathroom is very hot as the windows are permanently open (fixes louvre windows) with therefore no option to close them and allow the Aircon to cool the bathroom down.
