Budget Lodge Mount Dora

the room was clean, fresh and comfortable....Diamond, the clerk, room keeper and all around worker was very friendly and helpfull...she was a joy to interact with...she deserves a raise..she's an asset to the Inn

We only stayed one night, but we will not return, my family and I saw: cockroaches, super bad hygiene, it smelled horrible, under the bed there was a cover with bodily fluids! terrible!! I think it has bad management because the location is perfect, everything is close by, restaurants, shops, and the town of Mount Dora is beautiful, but the hotel could not be recommended 😞

Did not get to eat breakfast due to poor management and hateful front desk manager.

A new manager with dignity and respect for others when they make a mistake and try to ask for forgiveness for doing so. Understanding equals heartless in her favor.

the location and the price

room was the usual kind of dirty one would expect at a motel, some dead bugs, stains and hair on the carpet and bathroom. the couch felt sticky so we covered it with a sheet before using it. bed was uncomfortable, our backs hurt after sleeping here three nights. the worst part was the staff, who were incredibly unprofessional and rude. WARNING to anybody who stays here: the owner insists they do a "routine check" every Friday morning around 9am. the owner frantically knocked on our door and demanded to check our room. this was the first morning after we checked in, we were confused and they did not give an explanation other than "this is their home and they need to check every room and they don't trust anybody". i requested they put on a mask first, but they did not and proceeded to force themselves into our room. it looked like people were staying here long-term and seemed more like an apartment building than a motel.

Dirty...roaches...and people outside hanging out and drinking...asked for non smoking room and got a smoking room...stunk really bad..had ro buy a candle for the room to help alleviate the odor...junk under the beds and in drawers...linens didnt seem washed..curtains were just yuk! Bathroom sink look like it was about fall
