Returning to the L’Horizon is like coming home! This hotel is friendly , food great and most of all comfortable. First visited in 1968! Beautiful beach, you don’t need a car excellent bus service . Choose a room with ocean view and a balcony. Only one thing missing is Darjeeling tea ! May , June and September my favourite months.

We had a fabulous stay at L’horizon. We were a group of 8 adults staying in 5 rooms ( 2 bookings) . We had 3 standard rooms on floor 2 and 2 ground floor balcony rooms. The hotel has a great situation on the promenade of St Brelades bay. But it also has plenty of free parking for hotel guests, some outside the main entrance and the rest just across the road. All rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. The balconies were clean and large with comfortable furniture (table with 2 chairs, and 2 loungers) and a parasol was provided as soon as we asked, the base was already there. The standard bedrooms were spacious light and airy. While the view wasn’t the best ( car park and trees) that didn’t bother any of us ( there are plenty of places downstairs to sit and enjoy the view). And they were quiet. All rooms had plenty of storage, a mini fridge, bottled water, fresh milk, plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, biscuits, bathing toiletries, slippers and bath robe Spiced . The beds were very comfortable ( a little high if you’re in the shorter side like me 😀). There was always plenty of hot water for showers and the towels were lovely and soft. We were lucky to all be able to have the turn down service which was a lovely touch: water refilled and placed by the bed, chocolate cows in the pillows and rooms refreshed. The staff at the hotel from reception and housekeeping, to restaurants and bar staff were all lovely: friendly, professional and efficient. Any issues were dealt with quickly. They really make the hotel. One day there was a slight issue with a child playing the piano - unfortunately she was obviously still learning and kept playing the same few notes over and over. After a while some guests around us got irritated and asked the staff to stop her. They were so delicate and careful as to not upset anyone but still deal with the situation. The breakfast each day was hot and delicious, with a good array of choice. The restaurant was kind enough to sit us all at one big table. We ate on Sunday night in the restaurant and the staff couldn’t do more. They were attentive but not intrusive. They were happy to try and accommodate requests if possible. All or our requests were able to be accommodated. The warm rolls provided were brilliant. The food arrived all together, hot, delicious and well presented. A small suggestion would be for someone to see if they can make the bedroom door closures a little quieter/softer. It seemed very difficult to shut them without some level of noise.

Hotel located on the beachfront. Stunning beach and views from the hotel. Plenty of parking, including some EV chargers. Fortunate to stay in a superior suite, which was very appointed with a large private terrace with sun loungers and dining table. Rooms have a fridge which was restocked daily with milk and water. Great facilities, including spa and swimming pool. Staff were fantastic, very friendly with efficient service. Breakfasts were outstanding, with a great choice of cooked and continental breakfast with friendly service. Evening meals at The Grill and Terrace restaurant were enjoyable. Overall, had a fantastic stay and will certainly return.

Brilliant

Another first rate stay at this superb hotel. We’ve been visiting now for around 10 years, sometimes twice a year, and we are never disappointed. All the staff are brilliant, super helpful and friendly but special thanks to Charlotte and Alex on reception. More thanks to the wonderful Alina at the breakfast restaurant. She welcomes us like old friends, and runs her team with confidence and professionalism. The hotel is always spotlessly clean, the housekeeping team are great. Thank you to you all, and we will return!!

Our second stay at this wonderful hotel in the stunning St Brelades Bay. Staff very professional and very friendly. Our room in the west wing, a deluxe double with sea view and balcony was excellent. Lots of options to dine but the food and especially the wine were very expensive. Loved the seafood tasting menu in the Grill restaurant but again pricey. Will return ASAP.

We have just returned home after a wonderful 4 night stay. Although you can usually find something about a hotel that wasn’t 100% to your liking that was not the case here: L’Horizon far exceeded its 4 star rating in every respect. Our suite was spotlessly clean, well appointed and the king size bed firm but very comfortable. Breakfasts were outstandingly good as was the Bar food and our dinners in the Grill Room. The hotel’s beachfront location on St Brellard’s Bay is stunning - no doubt enhanced by the sunshine throughout our stay. But, best of all, was the hotel’s staff who, without exception, were fantastic: always helpful and polite and very efficient. We couldn’t fault a single thing and are looking forward to making a return visit.
