Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun - Adults only

We had an excellent time staying at Secrets Maroma between June 3-10. We booked a junior suite swim out room, ours was in building 23, close to dining, drinks and the theatre for entertainment. The room was fantastic and the swim out excellent. Thank you to Angel Lopez, the concierge for building 23 and Wilma and Humberto, who looked after our room during our stay. Our room was clean and well stocked all throughout the week. Angel, we appreciate the hospitality, engagement, and care you showed us, it certainly lent to our enjoyment of our holiday. We spent a lot of time enjoying the beach in the week we were there. Thank you Alberto and Rene from the beach/Palapa bar team for your great hospitality and some time at the pool too, thank you Anna for your frequent check ins with us and keeping us hydrated 😊. Entertainment was great all throughout the resort too, so depending on the type of holiday you are planning, active or laid back, Secrets Maroma and their team can deliver on all levels. Some closing points to try and cover as many topics of interest as possible: check in/out was quick and easy. The reception team were friendly and courteous each time we spoke with them. Noise was never a concern in our experience, never a problem at night. The pool area did get busy most days and on certain days challenging to find a spot, which wasn’t a big deal to us as we A) spent hours at the beach daily anyways relaxing under the palapas, listening to the waves and enjoying the breeze off the ocean and B) used the swim out at our room frequently too. The resort is adding another pool as well and once this is complete I can only imagine it adding further enjoyment to those enjoying a holiday there.

Excellent service! The grounds are very beautiful, clean, and spacious. The beach is excellent, with good service and plenty of shade. There can be a lot of seaweed at times, but that happens everywhere.

My stay at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I spent 5 nights and 6 days at the resort, and it exceeded every expectation I had. The property itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and truly feels like paradise. The food was outstanding throughout the resort, with a wide variety of options and consistently high quality at every restaurant. Every meal felt like a special experience, and the attention to detail was evident in everything from presentation to service. What truly made this trip unforgettable, however, was the staff. Every employee I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making guests feel welcome and cared for. Their warmth and hospitality created an atmosphere that made it difficult to leave. I would especially like to recognize Marcelo and Orlando for providing exceptional service during my stay. Their kindness, attentiveness, and positive attitudes stood out and made my vacation even more memorable. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and they are a true asset to the Secrets team. Thank you to everyone at Secrets Maroma Beach for an amazing vacation filled with relaxation, excellent food, outstanding service, and unforgettable memories. Amazing resort with amazing experience. Our building concierge Bramdon was amazing. Went above and beyond and constantly was looking for ways to make our trip more enjoyable. Food was amazing and pools were nice. Very big and plenty of room for everyone. Never felt crowded. The seafood restaurant was one of our favorites and had an amazing final dinner there on our last night. French restaurant is the best !! Must go there. Beach was stunning, when we could use it. First two days was pristine. But then the seaweed came in and we did the pools the rest of the trip. Highly recommend. We def will be back.

The room was great. Cozy layout with a nice and romantic design. The bathroom matched and was very comfortable. The view was nothing special but it was okay because we didn’t really spend much time on the balcony. But we only had a view of a lawn with some trees. There was some clumps of hair on the wall of the shower from a previous guest upon our arrival which was not very welcoming to say the least. But otherwise the concierge, room service, and house keeping was great. Location was great but this time of year is a little stormy and the sargassum on the beach was unfortunately very heavy. Navigating the property was easy. There were many restaurants that were easy to reach and find. Check in was easy and they made you feel comfortable and important especially as a preferred guest. One of the highlights of the trip was the concierge assigned to our building, Marcelo. He was available every day morning to evening and would text me activities for the day as well as promptly answer any questions I had and help set up transportation and any other activities or needs were provided for. He also went above and beyond to help decorate the room for my wife’s birthday.

Fantastic resort, highly recommend. Bramdon and Aldo were fantastic. They ensure that ever need was met and made our satisfaction their top priority. Absolutely amazing experience :)

The location was gorgeous! Easy access to the beach, we could see it from our room balcony which made for a spectacular view. The room was spacious and I loved the turndown service every night. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, especially our concierge Angel. The evening shows were fun and entertaining, the food was delicious, and the bartenders were quick! I especially enjoyed the waiters who would bring you drinks on the beach and by the pool. This resort is definitely worth more than what you pay for to stay there. The resort was clean and cared for.

Loved everything about Secrets! The location is absolutely beautiful even when it was raining. We felt taken care of from the moment we arrived and I instantly felt at ease. Shout out to our concierge Angel! The shows were entertaining, the beach stunning and the bar attendants were always there when I needed. I would highly recommend if you are gluten free or have dietary restrictions as every restaurant had options and accommodations. We will definitely be visiting again!

This was our first time at Playa Maroma and this Secrets property. I've stayed at Secrets and Breathless in the past, so I knew generally knew what to expect. However, Secrets Playa Maroma exceeded my expectations. The pool, beach, and other amenities were a bit better than I expected. The quality of the food was WAY better than I expected. We had a first floor room with swim out balcony and a concierge, which the snob in me feels are kinda 'must haves.' Hector A was our concierge and is a big ball of happiness. I jokingly called him Happy Hector because his attitude and smile are so positive and infectious that he spreads happiness with it. To be fair, if you're in a bad mood while your on vacation at a high end all inclusive beach resort, it's probably a 'you problem', but that isn't my point. My point is that Hector didn't simply do his job - ensuring we had everything we needed, sent us messages each morning with the daily activities, answered every question, told us about resort amenities we may have missed - he did it with such a great attitude. I would hire him to work at my company without even asking for his resume. Finding people who genuinely like people and take pride in their work seems to be increasingly rare. Hector is very personable to the point that we even discussed how cool Basilisk lizards are. Something surprising is when you enter the property from the main highway, it does not look nice. The guard booth and entrance looks abandoned and dilapidated. Don't worry, it gets nice once you get to the Secrets part. It's actually very cool because the resort is tucked away deep inside a protected mangrove preserve. The resort is literally built in the middle of the jungle with very little disturbance to the nature outside the property. They are monkeys, javelina, iguana, basilisk, coati, something that looked like a capybara, and all sorts of other animals just hanging out. I know you're not supposed to feed them, but I did because I know they live there and are semi-domesticated. The iguana love papaya and pineapple and those funny little coati eat anything. They will follow you around like a dog if you give them snacks. They would come out at night and walk around eating stuff just like a raccoon. The only animals I didn't see were insects, which is a good thing. As a nature lover, I don't have an issue with bugs and I'm not scared of them, but I don't want them around me. The resort does a great job because I don't remember seeing any ants or mosquitos. The landscaping at the resort is meticulous with every plant and blade of grass is manicured. The landscaping is just a notch below what you see at Augusta National during The Masters. The beach sand was white, soft, and clean. The beach was wide and expansive. There was decent amount of the sargasso seaweed, but the resort does as good a job as possible of cleaning it. There's a like a tractor type machine that drives back and forth along the shore cleaning it non-stop. It was windy, so the water was choppy and not as clear and blue as it can be. Let me be clear that these are not criticisms of Secrets - they can't control the weather. We swam in the ocean, but try not to touch the seaweed because stuff that stings lives in it. I'm half r tard, so I figured it would be smart to investigate the sargasso and see what was in it and something stung me. Probably jellyfish larvae. It stung a bit and left some bumps, but it was nothing. Just don't realized that marine stingers live in that seaweed and marine venom is legit. They have great beach chairs, great tiki hut umbrellas, and excellent service down on the beach. All the food was better than expected - the restaurants, cafes, poolside snacks, room service, etc. You have to get the whole fried fish and the little pizzas next to the pool. Every employee from the cleaning people and landscapers to the management were exceedingly welcoming and friendly. Everyone smiles and says hola and asks if you need anything. I'm a humble guy and don't need to be fawned over or pampered, so the level of helpfulness almost makes me uncomfortable because I don't like to inconvenience others. I'm not a royal or celebrity, but I imagine having an entire staff of people who's sole purpose is my comfort and happiness is what it's like. This is how Secrets Maroma's staff made us feel. I could go on and on about how great of a trip that Secrets Playa Maroma provided us, but I think I'm made my point and I need to get to work. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great experience!

This resort is absolutely beautiful! Clean, food is great and staff have been nothing short of amazing. Wildreth "Willy" was our pool waiter who was phenomenal, friendly and always on top of our drinks and food! He went above and beyond! Our concierge Roger was amazing as well. He made our stay easy and enjoyable, always greeting us and making sure we were taken care of. Eric was our bartender by the beach, he was hilarious and on point with the drinks! French cuisine has the best Bacon Wrapped filet and escargo. Italian was a favorite. Can't say anything negative about the restaurants. Entertainmemt was great! Definitely recommend this resort!
