Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun - Adults only

Everything from check-in to meals to service was exceptional. Our personal Concierge, Marcelo Marin, was extremely helpful with everything from questions about the hotel, to booking services at (The spa). He was fantastic.

Amazing resort. Lots of variety of food. Staff that genuinely cares and an amazing concierge. Angel is the best! His attention to detail was impeccable. Will definitely visit again soon. Thank you! A+++

Fantastic resort! Beautiful location and the staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. Our concierge, Roberto in building 25 bent over backwards to get us anything we needed. The food was delicious, the pool and beach were clean and there were so many fun activities! We had a blast!

We stayed for 7 days at the end of March. Fist the good: the buffet is probably one of the best we’ve seen at an all inclusive, the rooms were lovely, beautifully decorated, spacious, and the whirlpool tub was large, the grounds are lovely but not really practical. The bad: not enough shade, the chairs around the pool have you packed in like sardines, the “quiet” pool is far too close to the activities pool, there essentially is no quiet pool. Overall the food was meh, slightly above average for an AI, the grounds are lovely but not practical, and they need more pools (maybe more “preferred club” pools to give a more exclusive feel). We moved to Exellence Playa Mujeres and we overall move satisfied at a slightly lower price point.

The resort was beautiful and very clean - cleanest of the 6-7 I have stayed at in this area. The room set up with one king bed was spacious and the balcony was smaller but very usable. Room service (Aidan, I believe) was the most thorough I have experienced. The beach had a tremendous amount of seaweed the week we were there (biggest bloom ever recorded supposedly). The resort made a really strong effort to clean it as best they could. I can't fault the resort at all for effort. There were plenty of palapas and the chairs were comfortable. Beach service was fairly responsive - orders were accurate and quicker than most places. The sand is fine and really nice to walk and play on. No rocks when we were able to get into the water. The pools were nice although we were only in them twice - water wasn't too cold. Service at restaurants was very good. Our concierge in Villa 16 was Marcelo and he was excellent. Best I have experienced in all my stays in Mexico, DR, and Jamaica. Food at the buffet was above average. Although the buffet seemed smaller than others, it had a significant selection and was refreshed often..maybe the dessert options were less but I thought the quality was very nice. This was the best overall resort I have experienced in the Caribbean and we would definitely come back again.

We had a an absolutely spectacular vacation staying at Secrets Maroma!! We stayed for 6 days and wished we stayed longer - everything from the rooms, to the food, the grounds, the staff and the beach were top notch. Staff - nothing beats the staff in Mexico!! They are all lovely, offering a smile, help, a drink - anything you need! There were some standouts at breakfast (I can’t remember their names now) but they went above and beyond - grabbing plate from me when I was struggling with too many things in my hands, and recommending drinks to take out with me! Rooms - updated and modern, everything worked as needed and had great views from the balconies. I loved that all of the buildings were connected with shade structures and could keep you dry during rain all the way over to the lobby bar! There was plenty of space in the dresser to store our clothes and in a wardrobe for things needing hanging. Shower was fully stocked with LOVELY smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The snacks and drinks were always well stocked and the maid service was quick and tidy! Also loved that we could order more pillows or different types of pillows from the app! Angel was our concierge and he was helpful sending us updates of the days events, helping find us our shuttle info, and organizing pick up of our luggage at the end of our stay. Restaurants - really couldn’t complain much. Our favs were the Mediterranean and Pan Asian restaurants for sure… sooo good! Italian was the only one our group didn’t love - overly saucy and my husband felt a bit unwell the following day after it, but overall - breakfast, poolside lunch spots & buffet and dinner restaurants met expectations! The only thing to be aware of is that there’s no dinner buffet unless it’s a special night where they set up an outdoor buffet - so dinner always takes a while (1.5-2hrs). The cafe beside the lobby was also great - nice selection of pastries, teas, coffees, and more! Room service was also great in a pinch - fast service! Beach - we are beach people through and through. This was by far the best resort on the strip to keep up with the sargassum early in the week (we went March 8-13). It dissipated later in the week and we took FULL advantage of the beach and clear ocean during those days but defaulted to the pool while lounging on the beach during the early days. The sand was soft and white and the ocean nice and clear! We also found there were plenty of palapas at the beach to sit under - often able to grab a front row palapa if we went at 8-8:30am. They were nice and big with a table in the middle and gave us some much needed shade (we are two very fair skinned gingers lol)! I also just want to say a BIG thank you to the staff at reception. They were incredibly welcoming from the start, but at the end of our stay we ran into an issue where our shuttle was 1.5 hrs late and we had no way of knowing if and when they were coming. They went above and beyond to make sure we could get answers - asking driers that dropped people off and offering to call the company or call us a cab to ensure we had a way to the airport.

The employees and staff were all friendly, helpful and genuinely cared about our experience. Food was better than expected and they had activities for everyone to take part in.

Our experience at Secrets Maroma was nothing short of spectacular! From check-in, to concierge service (special shoutout to the brilliant Guillermo! Thank you for everything!) to the delicious food and drinks, beautiful beach, amazing entertainment nightly, and wonderful staff everywhere we went, it was an absolutely amazing trip!! We would return tomorrow if we could but we will definitely be back!

We just got back from Secrets Maroma Beach and already want to go back — the service alone makes it worth it. The **Seaside Grill** was hands down our favorite restaurant. The hostess Jocelyn was so kind and welcoming every time, and our waiter Armando truly made every lunch special — he went above and beyond every single day and was incredibly friendly. The food here was the best on the property: the aguachile and ceviche tostada were standout favorites, and even the burgers were delicious (perfectly messy in the best way). We also loved the Pan-asian restaurant's sushi bar — super fresh and really tasty. The food at the Italian, Mexican, and French restaurants was fine, but the service everywhere was consistently excellent. The Oceana restaurant, though, was exceptional — and honestly, dining outside by the pool and beach makes everything better. And a shout out to the breakfast buffet - holy cow, everything you could ever want and more. The lobby bar was a fun vibe. We loved hanging out there, making bracelets while sipping champagne and tequila. Also, don’t skip the little café next to the lobby — great desserts and small sandwiches, and the candy jars at night are a fun touch. We did not do any shows or late night activities because we were asleep by about 9pm -- they looked fun though! We didn’t use room service much, but what we did order was quick and really good. We spent every day on the beach under a palapa — no need to upgrade to a beach bed, especially in early March since there were plenty of spots. If you go, try to sit in Ana’s section — she took such great care of us, always making sure we had drinks and everything we needed. We didn’t even try the pools because we’re total beach people, but they looked lively and fun. We brought small bills for tips (even though it’s all-inclusive), and it really made a difference — about $5 per meal and a couple dollars per drinks felt appreciated and well deserved. Our swim-out room was beautiful and felt very private. Everything felt luxurious — the linens, robes, soaking tub, and all the little details. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable — we slept so well. They even surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a banner on our door for our anniversary, which made the trip feel extra special. One random highlight: the lobby smells AMAZING — like a dream. If anyone knows what scent they use, please share because I need it. Overall, the service was exceptional from start to finish. We would absolutely come back.

Secrets Maroma Beach was our fifth different all-inclusive resort and our eighth trip to an all-inclusive. This was our best experience of all of them. Maroma is a beautiful beach despite the constant battle with seaweed. The main pool is quite large with plenty of soft lounge chairs around the pool. Food in the buffet and specialty restaurants was very good. Our concierge, Francia did a fantastic job taking care of any needs that we had, and Sergio was a wonderful waiter at the French restaurant! The only negative was the outrageous prices for the spa, but a half-mile walk down the beach gave the opportunity for a reasonably priced massage. This is not a one-and-done for us, we will come back again!
