Sonesta Milwaukee West Wauwatosa

Overall the stay was good. The Innovation restaurant was closed, so had to eat outside the restaurant more than was planned. The room was outdated! Old worn wooden wardrobe that didn't close all the way. The TV was small (like a 19-21"). No clocks in the room, no USB ports to plug in electronics. The tub was deep, so hard to get in & out of even with the grab bar. The beds were comfortable. The service was great. Had to request towels the first night, and was supplied quite a few for our stay. The one outside door (not main entrance) stuck on us twice so we couldn't enter. Staff said they'd get maintenance to look at it.

This place is nothing but false advertisement! They make the lobby look like a grand entrance & once you get past that, its all down hill from there! There was no hot tub as advertised, The tiny pool was gross. Seen 3 small children in it, that im sure ended up with a rash?! The luxurious bar & restaurant were closed. The lobby area stunk so bad that the smell stayed in our clothes the next day. Cleanliness of this place is disgusting! Only plus was that we did not get bed bugs like everyone elses reviews. We booked for 2 nights & left after 1 & just ate the cost of the 2nd night. Luckily found a little dive motel which ended up being was more satisfying!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Location.

Cleanliness and smell. We changed rooms twice because of mold on the shower door and cigarette smell coming from the air conditioner.

It was actually very comfortable bed needs some updates but still very clean people at the desk were awesome!

Wet carpet in the room. Strong smell of mold. Very musty and uncomfortable. Needs updates. Very outdated.

Hot tub was out of service. Our room wasn’t cleaned the after first night or towels restocked. Not even our trash was taken out. We were out of the room from 8 am until 7pm on Saturday, so there was plenty of time for staff to clean it.

I booked a room and checking went fine. I was stunned at how outdated and dirty the room was. When I asked for a different room I was told they were booked. Everything in that room was old and badly worn. I went back to the room, grabbed a few photos and my things. The curtains were absolutely disgusting. They were badly torn and stained and they smelled. There were no USB plugs and no clock or alarm clock. The TV was tiny. The finish on the nightstands and dresser was peeling and chipping. The dresser had this weird shelf that you could pull out. I guess that was to set your antique boom box on so you could plug into analog Jack's. It also had a 13 pin cable connector for your computer monitor? ? This room was stuck in the 70's and not in a good way. Skip Sonesta....unless you want to relive the seeds side of the 70's.
