"Quite place high up in the mountains , building needs an upgrade"

6.0

This resort is at a very high altitude ( + 6000 ft) so be prepared ! The building is old and not clean would need some refreshment! They are working on some improvements like new flooring etc. but still a long way to go.

"Fallen into disrepair through neglect."

4.0

No one was there during our stay. Resort has fallen into disrepair through neglect. Not within walking distance to anything. On the plus side pool was clean and hot tub was hot. Unit was clean and well stocked. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner though. Faucets dripped, doors squeaked, toilet seats were loose.

Not a place for the handicapped! Elevators only reach 2nd level, but units are 2 floors higher. No warning on website. Slow service - Took 2 days to get towels after multiple requests.

"Negative review of Silverado II stay in Winter Park, CO 7/2 -7/9/22"

2.0

To: Aaron Monaco, CMCA Community Association Manager CAP Management 1825 Lawrence Street, Ste 311 Denver, CO 80202-1817 Also To Tripadvisor From: Glenda and Steve Clare Re: Problems During Stay at Silverado II July 2 – July 9, 2022 Dear Aaron, We were given your name as the Property Manager for Silverado II in Winter Park, CO. We booked through RCI and paid $338 ($249 Exchange Fee and $79 Trading Power Insurance). This exchange was reserved about a year ago and was confirmed by an email from RCI and a Confirmation Number 00096. I called about two weeks prior to our arrival (6/17/2022) and initially was not able to reach anyone at 970-726-5753. VM said to leave VM at 970-985-5908 but was told by voice message it was no longer in service. VM also said to email an address but I did not want to wait for an answer. After trying the 970-726-5753 several times more, a person by the name of Chelsea answered. She was very helpful, found our booking, and told us everything was in order. She also that the the inability to contact them was due to the recent Site Manager resigning and leaving unexpectedly. When arrived on 7/2/2022 shortly after 4 pm there was no one at the front desk. A sign gave us a new number to call 240-383-9980. This is Chelsea’s cell phone number, and she came to the front desk to assist us in checking in. The process was very chaotic, Chelsea was “beside” herself trying to find our reservation and deal with our arrival. We finally got checked into Rm 512. We found the room to be dirty as were the hallways and the facility in general. Since we do a lot of travel with RCI sites, we were not expecting this. Also, the rooms themselves felt “dirty”. Shortly after supper we heard dripping near the entry way and found that the ceiling above was leaking water near the end of the island separating the kitchen and living area. We placed a garbage can under the ceiling and tried to call Chelsea. Finally, she responded and came to our room with a maintenance person. After reviewing what was occurring, they went into the unit above (#522) and told us it was due to a faulty dishwasher. We were told that they would move us to another room the next day if something was available in Silverado II and would let us know by 10 AM MT the next day. I (Steve) expressed at that time moving us to another unit or even facility was what should happen and was my expectation. Didn’t buy the dishwasher explanation but the dripping stopped, and we went to bed. Next morning after I took shower and was having breakfast, the dripping started again. I started calling the 240-383-9980 (Chelsea’s #) as that was the only one that consistently worked. By 11 AM MT or so the problem was finally looked at again in Rm 522 by the maintenance supervisor who still felt it was dishwasher causing the problem (?). We were finally told we could move into Rm 521 so we moved all of our possessions from 512 to 521 over the next hour. This set of rooms seemed “cleaner” but still very beat up. During our stay we used the pool and hot tub 3-4 times, and though OK they were not “clean” or well maintained. None of our family got sick thankfully. The water temp in both was lukewarm (pool) or warm (Hot Tub) so that was fine. Chelsea and the maintenance/cleaning staff did the best they could with very limited help. There seemed to be no one to help them or any extra assistance. We expect a response to this letter and our expectation is to have this week reimbursed so we can have another time/week to spend in Winter Park within the next year or so. We paid $338 in fees and 19 RCI points to do this exchange and were totally disappointed in the accommodations and service. The on-site staff did their best but were hindered by the situation they found themselves in. Please contact Steve Clare at 402-405-5561 and email at claresl@msn.com to discuss this. FYI we are sending a copy of this correspondence to RCI as well. Thank you, Steve Clare RCI Member # 3402-01860

"Old, rundown"

4.0

Rooms are very old and two rooms had broken appliances-toilet and dishwasher. The rooms are dark and drab. This place is totally fine if you are a skier and just going to sleep there. But if you’re staying there throughout the day, it’s pretty mediocre. The game room is ok but all games cost money and some are super old. The front desk is frequently not staffed so it’s hard to get ahold of someone. Gym/fitness room is very small crowded and old if you’re wanting to use it. Decent value for someone just sleeping there, but we were also working from the room and I was very anxious to leave by the end of the week.

"Spring Break 2022"

10.0

Nicely appointed 2 bedroom with 2 bathroom condo with nice kitchen, dining and living room setup. 2nd bedroom and bathroom was nice for my 11 year old daughter and her friend. The covered parking was great as we were hit with 12” of snow one night. And, the ski lockers in the parking garage were very convenient. New mattresses in the bedroom with 2 single beds is needed, but I’d come back again.

"Ski Vacation"

8.0

The location was good. The family stayed for a ski week. The unit only had one tv in the living room, for us that was fine, but other families may need more entertaiment options. The Lift bus only stops once per hour so we ended up driving to the mall and parking there and taking the bus. We did appreciate the two bathrooms. Overall a good value and nice place.

"Dated place that needs refurbishment"

6.0

Old buildings with old units. Basic needs meet, easy access to free bus service. Has ski lockers in the garage. Kitchen stocked with dishes. Comes with NO shampoo, conditioner or lotion so remember to bring your own. Hot tub, pool and sauna are nice. Onsite restaurant and bar must be for rented events only. Never saw any staff.
