The location, the hot water and tea, and Brandon. The cups did not have hot sleeves and were very thin.

The elevator was very shaky and made noises, wasn't sure if it would open. The alarm kept beeping, like it needed a battery. For the price that you charge in Selma, AL, the place should be awesome without any areas needing cleaning or anything running down the walls because it wasn't wiped off. Shower head cover with lime scale because they have never been cleaned, you can not change the water spray because the water goes everywhere but on you. Housekeeping noisy as hell, slamming doors and continues to knock on your door even if it's doubled locked so they can't enter..

Excellent Hotel! The staff was super nice to our family and made sure everyone was comfortable! My (almost Teens) absolutely loved the breakfast and want to go back to this Holiday Inn Express again the next time we visit our family again in Alabama. Thanks you guys - keep up the great work!

I stayed here for work and I always enjoy it. the manager and team are great. it is that southern hospitality. I will continue to stay here when I am back for work. rooms are spacious and clean. looking forward to my next visit here for work. Enjoyed my stay.

I stayed here at this property for work. It was great and really enjoyed my stay. The staff here are wonderful and always asked if I needed anything. I enjoyed the breakfast very much. the cinnamon roll for breakfast was the sugar I needed to start my day. Manager Landon was professional and always asked if he could be a help. I really like this hotel. Will stay here again.

I called the front desk five days in a row in an attempt to book a group rate. No managers are on site. No manager EVER called me back. Just incomprehensible as far as a lack of professionalism. Had to book rooms through hotels.com and IHG website direct. Just pathetic lack of professionalism . . . in the hospitality industry no less. So, so sad.

Holiday inn express in Selma Alabama did a good job. Staff are friendly and professional. Would recommend!

There was problem with one of visitors. So the police was call.

I stayed here for the better part of 2 weeks. Aside from having to kill the occasional insects (cockroach, silverfish), the stay was ok. The room I got was small, and I spend about 150+ nights a year in hotels, so I carry a lot with me. The room was cleanish. My problem was checking out. I called at 1030, two days earlier than I was scheduled to leave (the stay was *not* a non-refundable), and asked for a late checkout, 1pm. I was told 'ok' by the girl at the front desk. ​While I was on my way, I got a call from someone in management, saying I'd have to pay for the night since I would be checking out late. I explained that I was a Diamond Elite member (I usually get a courtesy 2pm checkout), but that didn't matter. I exited my room at 1200 exactly. I protested the charge at the front desk. The manager came out, but refused to budge. When I told him he'd be losing my future business there (about 12 nights a year in that area) his response was 'Ok. Bye.' Very disrespectful and dismissive. I won't stay here again.
