We booked this hotel for the pool and proximity to the venue we needed for our kiddos to compete the next day. Unfortunately, when teammates arrived, they were alerted the pool was closed. They called to tell us and I immediately called to cancel, with waived penalty. The call was routed to customer service, despite me calling the number for the actual hotel. The woman advised she had reached out to the manager and I could cancel with no penalty, I just had to do so with Booking. I immediately did so and even sent a message to the property letting them know why I needed to cancel at 3:53pm. This was on Saturday. As of Tuesday, I have heard nothing from the property. I, again, reach out to be told that I was marked a "no show" at 3:30am as no one had notified them. The argument was I didnt reach out to the hotel specifically. When I DID. How is it my fault YOUR customer service didnt let YOU know? Also, I messaged YOUR property. With no response. Again, how is this on ME? According to booking, the manager also told them the pool was not closed - which is a flat out lie. The manager informed me he just "has a job to do" and that this "is their policy". We will never stay at a Holiday Inn again since this is how they treat people.

Didn’t stay. Once got there was told pool and hot tub neither was working. Booking shows there is a pool on site and paid in advance. Only reason booked was for pool. Now out the money plus had to book elsewhere.

They allow animals in the rooms and my carpeting was totally dirty with stains from pets didn't feel even safe to walk on
