Candlewood Suites Williamsport by IHG

I walked on my floor, floor 2 and it smelled like trash. There was trash sitting out there for over a week it smelled like. Seems like people were living in the hotel. I like the service and the convenience. However, in my room none of the surfaces were wiped down, I could tell it was not cleaned. They made the bed, it was comfy, and they sprayed the room with air freshener. There was a seed left on the coffee table in the suite. If it was cleaner, I would return.

Overall, all needs were met. Not the sparkling updated hotel we usually stay in. First time we stayed in a hotel with a kitchenette . This trip a suite worked well for us. Big negative: an employee entered our credit card expiration month date incorrectly and the card was denied. This was discovered when we checked out. When we called the card issuer after arriving home, and inquired why our card was denied, this error was seen. Embarrassing!!!

The only "amenity" that was lacking was ample room to take our dog out to grass close to an exterior door.

No rooms available when I arrived even though I booked

It was a pleasant surprise to find out I'd picked a place with kitchen amenities. However, it felt like I picked a bad time to stay. When we arrived, there was a big gathering in the pool area, and the next morning there was so much trash. The cans were overflowing and it was scattered all around. The lovely hotel employee was only able to find us two pool towels the following morning. The restroom needed restocking and the employee struggled to procure another roll. He went above and beyond to find us these simple things, as well as a regular coffee packet. I know supply shortages occur, but this seemed to be poor management of logistics. The saddest part? We booked this place for its advertised "spa tub" and there was none.

The size of the room.

This was the worst stay for the price I paid. Hotel does not have a spa— only a pool and it is in fair condition. There was no towels in the pool and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom at the pool. Later in the day I witnessed another man asking for more towels and the front desk person told him that they didn’t have any. His response to her was I guess I’ll just dry the ones I have. the woman made no effort to try to get the man clean towels. This was absolutely unacceptable for the price that I paid for this room. The room was pretty nice but that’s about the only thing good about this day I will never stay here again.

Kitchen was not cleaned- counter was dirty and the coffee maker was dusty and dirty. There was only decaf coffee available. It looked like the room had not been cleaned in weeks. The top of the fridge was dusty and dirty. Will not stay there again. Was woke up around 11/11:30 pm on a Saturday night when there were people who were partying to loudly.

Everything was really nice and clean
